The Izula can cut but how does it throw?

One thing I love about Jeff's posts is that you never have to guess at what he is saying... :D

My Izula flies well, as long as it is packed in a TSA approved bag.. :)

it's awesome how each post in this forum goes on tangents but everything said was more interesting than the initial topic. i'm convinced a 70's style lawn dart is for me.

I think it was SOG that just came out with some pretty cool looking new throwing knives by the way.

One's a spear head with a short handle that functions as a throwing knife and can be put onto a broom handle for a spear. Pretty cool.

:D Glad to see you stayed around, sorry about your less than warm welcoming

I think if you want to throw a knife period buy a tomahawk. The only time I'd throw a knife built for survival is if it were last ditch self defense, and since I constantly carry my hawk anyway...

Huh? I thought it was great welcoming. No sense in beating around the bush with something like " while we sincerely appreciate your interest we do not suggest throwing our knives. Thank you and have a wonderful RAT day." Screw that. It's idiocy to throw our damn knives or anyone else's not made for throwing. I figure if someone's too soft for the truth then they won't fit in here well. The op obviously fits in well.

I remember playing these with these things at age-6 back in the day. They were a lot more fun than the bean bag game. Horseshoes are more dangerous IMO - you can never predict the bounce trajectory of those things!

Reminds me of the Les Stroud show - in S. America and after demoing the blow dart told a story about an elder in the village who lost an eye to his dart as a young man looking up for his kill and the dart returned on him. Apparently years later, he lost his second eye from the same accident. Only two strikes in that game!

Someone is gonna get an eye poked out with this thread.

But how can you poke an eye out? I always thought you could only poke on in. To get it out you need one of these! :D

Don't worry Jeff I should have specified, I wasn't talking about your post, I meant this thread in general. Normally when we see a new poster we are more welcoming.

:D "Thank you and have a wonderful RAT day." I'll have to remember that one.

Oh side note, sorry to be jumping around so much, did you ever get my tip on green beans and morning glories?

:D I guess you didn't see that post then, yeah next year plant a morning glory or two in your garden if you want to risk it, for some reason our green beans always seems to be larger and in higher concentration close to the morning glories, I guess there is some mutual relationship going on.

Morning Glory vines wrap up into everything in the garden. I have plenty of them in the garden and it's probably the number 1 plant that I'm constantly killing and digging out of the ground. I hate those things! But if you got a deal going with them, then maybe they work for you ;)

No deal I just try to keep those things out of everything but the beans, of course there is always the space saving planting green beans and corn together. Come time to pick 'em though it is a little more tricky.

I would consider his welcome as a hazing. He came back so obviously he can hang.

How the f did ya'll get on morning glories and green beans? Just when you think you have a thread figured out BOOM! Someone brings up something weird out of no where.
