Yes, this was my reference point too until I read your post and also the only change I was aware of (I might have forgotten all about the pivot change though).... the nail nick was updated to what most people think of as gen 2.
The gen 2 pivot is smaller. There are some great pictures and mentions of the differences in here.What changed on the pivot?

It is nice that we seem to be seeing plain larges stay in stock at least for a little while for those that want one.
