The kinda unspecified CRK talk thread.

The only non-Malkoff I use is a Nitecore headlamp when I take the dog out at night. I've mentioned to Gene my wish for a dedicated Malkoff headlamp...

...I've never been tempted to use the system he offers in which you have to insert one of the lights into his nylon / Velcro rig.
 
I've never really noticed a need to sell people on CRKs. They either appeal to one from a construction and aesthetics point of view or they don't.

I usually look at other knives and think how the blade profiles are not as interesting (to me) as the two Zaan versions, or the Insingo.

My experience is that devotees of some other brands are more like the missionaries who come knocking on your door when you just want to relax.

There's a lot of knives I really like, but none that I can think of which would make me want to kick CRKs to the curb. Obviously, mileage varies.

I think the newest Wildcat 18650 with high CRI is the best all around flashlight he ever made. I use it all of the time, along with a few others. However, for EDC, I strongly prefer an HDS executive. 20240311_100425.jpg

I carried HDS for years. My fav was the clickie with 4500 running 200ln Henry built for me .
