The Knife Life (Minor Topics and Random Stuff Thread)

Time for me to stop, or for you to stop?

I'll stop naming things "______ stabby" when you stop buying em! LMAO

Aight, let's virtual shake on it:

*shake*

Kidding vato! I have a feeling you'll keep buying the "pokey things"! Trust me, I've been through it before..... This affliction takes a while to work outta your system. In the meantime - nice blades pal! I like em a lot.

No worries, I get that you were kidding. My post just sounds too serious because the forum was being weird and wouldn't let me use caps or emojis.

It kept changing 'DEAL:D'

Into 'deal:d', so I gave up and posted somthing what was at least coherent

Bad forum!

I was at work today and was on top of a roof measuring some stuff when I had the perfect opportunity to snap a pic off of a parapet wall!
Just got this 0562 and I'm absolutely loving it! The flipper is a 8/10, which by my standard is darn good since I consider my 0454 a 9/10! I don't know what a 10/10 flipper would feel like, It'd have to be better than my 0454 which seems like a long shot.

Awesome shot of an equally awesome knife:thumbup:
I really want one, but it's just a little big for my tastes, and that puts it well behind a lot of other things on my list. Couple that with all of my retarded impulse buys, and well......:o

Thanks guys!

IMO it's really not that large of a folder, however the thing is literally a brick when it comes to weight. I'm used to carrying large 3.5"-4" folders though. Between a folder in my pocket and a leatherman on my belt, I carry close to a pound of steel on me everyday
Eat your heart out nutnfancy

Does it irritate anyone else that it seems like for every knife out there you need a specific screw driver to preform simple maintenance, and don't get me started on this proprietary/ unique screw crap. I mean what's the point? It seems like for every knife I own I have to have its own driver to the point that my screw driver/ allen key collection is about as large as my knife collection. It just seems like a simple, universal flat head would be so much simpler. A flat head can be adjusted by any number of objects, and not to mention every screw doesn't require a specific size bit. I was seriously debating on getting a Bad Monkey, but then I had to go and read about their "unique" screws, and now I'm not so sure. Now don't get me wrong the screws wouldn't make or break a decision for me. This is just something that's really been eating at me lately.
Okay, my rant is over.

Yeah, I feel ya

But I stopped taking apart knives a while ago. It's not worth it. I just end up making things worse:p

Good rant. It's bullshit. I'm tired of using 50 different things to take apart knives. It's ridiculous.

Also this....

Should name him "ol stabby"!

Lil stabby!

Has been killing me for a few days now, haha! Lil' stabby!

Well, lil stabby arrived yesterday. I like it a lot. But this thing is comically thin. I can easily bend it with my bare hands:eek:

I guess I forgot it was meant to be a boot knife or neck knife. In those roles it would definately be great

I've been thinking about it, however the southern grind doesn't seem to ooze the "tactical-ness" of the emersons. I just want a nice sleek knife with the wave, and I just can't seem to warm up to spydercos. Also, the southern grind's f&f is amazing from what I've read. Who knows, I'll probably just bight the bullet and pick up the monkey and say some cuss words in my head every time I do any adjustments.
