Those look a lot slicier than the fixed blades most people seem attracted to, based on the pics I've seen. Nice!

Is "slicy fixed blade" a thing?

Sappy, I would go with the JK if I were you. It seems like you are more drawn to it, and you shouldnt just settle on the Barkie if the JK is what you really want.

The more I think about it the more I agree with you.
And I definately am drawn more towards thinner sleeker(slicier) fixed.

This little sweetie arrived yesterday, and she's at work with me today. She's a real looker, but ready to work hard!

Very nice Mwally!

The handle ergos look similar to the XMs, so I'm not surprised you like it:)

Thanks brother! The handles are pretty similar, but the exaggerated shape on the S-Tac really helps me lock in with a good grip. The ergo's are insane!!!

I really like the grind lines on that Baker.
Well I just started the ball rolling on the JK. Unfortunately he said orders taken now won't be shipped until July.

Mwally, nice looking blade! Interesting tip design, I will be curious to see how well you like it! Just noticed the maker is in my neck of the woods (about 2 hours away from me)
Sadsappysucker, good choice! That looks like a nice slicer, are you going to edc that one or will it be a specialty blade?(camping, hiking, fishing, etc.?)

All of the above. I wanted something that I could carry everywhere without getting to much attention. I also wanted something small enough for a pocket sheath in case I want to go that rout.

I think I'm going to really like the tip/blade profile.I have other knives with a similar reverse tanto shape. The blade slices like a drop point, but has tip strength like a tanto. Sorta perfect for daily tasks. Personally, I think it's a shape that should be used MUCH more often.

BLADE is right around the corner. Ended up sticking to it and didn't buy any knives this year. Here's to hoping I can score something cool at the show. Hope you fine folks are well.

What is the steel on that JK knife? It looks like it is going to be a sweet lil slicer!

Hey Harris, you still planning on grabbing an XM Bowie at BLADE? Or are you just gonna see what's there and decide when the time comes?

I've heard it's going to be tough to get one there and I might as well stick with what I wanted which is just some unique large Sebenza of some kind. DT plain Jane 21 would be nice, maybe a UG or CGG, DT + wood inlays, a nice mnandi...I'm open to many CRK options. There will be a lot to see so I might up doing something entirely different in the end.

I have taken quite a liking to mnandis lately. I definitely wouldn't mind picking one of those up after the micarta insingo I keep putting off.
Zeta do you do blade refinishing? I want to mirror polish my hills and then anodize the scales. I tried my hand at a polish but just can't seem to remove the scratches. I'm done trying to do it myself.

I do refinishing but I don't know that I'd have the time to do a proper mirror polish for you at the moment!

Just popping in to see what's new! Hope everyone's doing all right 'round these parts.

Harris, be safe out there! Get a selfie at the KAI booth for me lol

You bet, brotha! I'm all good over here, man. I hope you are too. I know Forrest and I are planning on going out a lot so there should be tons of pics of knives, food, cigars, etc.

Would you have time to do some anodizing? I recently got a ZT0450 that my girlfriend keeps borrowing because the red standoffs match her shirt or something. I'd like to get the entire handle red anodized. What do you think?

In titanium anodizing, the closest you will get to red is pink or violet. If you were doing hard coating like on aluminum handles you could do red but I only do Ti ano. If you want to get your 0450 anodized I can definitely help you. Send me a PM and we will talk!
