The Knife Life (Minor Topics and Random Stuff Thread)

Thanks Dog!

And to top it all off, my cat's up and healthy again. We're still keeping an eye on him, but he seems to be completely back to normal. Thanks for all the good vibes guys, I really want to believe he pulled through because he had a good bunch of blade bros wishing him well:)

Oh and one more thing. The deadline for committing to a school is tomorrow, so I'm picking tonight and sending the deposit. Ugh, this is going to be a hard decision....

Nice! Which one?

Nothing many folks here will get too excited about: the "regal flipper butterfly knife" which is supposedly (according to blogs and such) the best Bali for under $50. I got the one with black wood inserts... Probably the best part? When I went to my dad to pay him (I'm 16, and online purchases are blocked on my debit card) he told me to just hold on to the cash :D even though it's just $20, it's $20 I can out toward more knives (Christmas money lol)

Cool! What's your next buy going to be youngblood?

Sweet! That should give you plenty of options. Another auto to check out would be one of the new kershaw launches. Not because I have any experience with either. I just prefer the looks of the kershaw.
And I've said it before and I'll probably say it again, that pm2 really turned out nice.

Yes! Cut the apple and didn't disintegrate. :D

Dog if I didn't know better, I would almost be offended by something like this. I actually DO use my knives ya know...

I find your lack of faith disturbing :D

But thankfully, I know you're just a grumpy ole fart yelling from the porch at whippersnappers who take too many glam shots:p

Thanks sappy, it's a whole different knife now:thumbup:

I think the coolest part is how comfortable it is now that the scales are more rounded at the inside edges. It MELTS into your hand.

Yes, you know me better than that, and I know you better than that! I was just pokin at ya a little. I know you use your knives! And that you actually have the stones to ride a Sebenza hard and put it up wet says a lot.
Now, git off my lawn! Come on up on the porch and whittle.

Can I bring my small toy-like knives?:D

Woooohoooo!

FINALLY, I managed to score a 3 inch slicer for a decent price. Guy's gonna ship it out on Monday. I'm stoked to finally be rounding off my EDC group with an XM. What gets me excited the most is that I'll be able to customize it however I want. I'm thinking a different color G10 scale (or a textured cf if I can get my hands in one) and some crusader accessories from Hinderer.....

^^^Sweet! And hey, I didn't see that last post - sure you can bring your wee lil knives. I have a few small ones too, and plenty of bigguns to go around.

Thanks man:thumbup:

Lol you'd get a kick out of how toyish this thing feels compared to something like the strider or PM2. I must admit I was surprised by how small it was, especially after spending so much time toting those two bigguns

But it sure does feel like a tank, albeit a miniature one:)

Cool, cool. I think the small but stout ones are awesome! Best of all - tough knife that's legal almost anywhere.

So my knife budget for the year is pretty much non existent now. My car broke down on me last week, so after years of driving sketchy vehicles I decided to get something a little more reliable(and sexy).

This is the first time I've ever had a car payment, so I'll have to cut down on all my luxury spending until I can get a better job. As I stand the only 2 knives I plan on buying this year are a m4 pm2 and a forum knife which both won't probably be out until the later part of the year.
