Here's a picture of my T.A. Davison, and my big boy bento box

That is fantastic. Great pic too

Hey Kris looks like you had a great trip with your Granddad! Major props my friend, it's all about the memories. In the end, that's ALL that's important. Very cool my friend. Very cool.

This. Words of wisdom from under the bridge.

Thanks Will, it was a great hike. I'm very happy I could help him check something off his bucket list. Plus it seems like it had therapeutic value for him as well. He said his knees and heart actually got better throughout the trip! And unlike me, he wasn't sore or tired after we got back, nor is he the day after. Hes just extremely happy:)

Oh and I gave him my ZT 450 for the hike, which I made him use when we were trimming the stems on the wildflowers we picked. He liked it the best when I was showing him my collection a few days ago, so I figured it would be a perfect opportunity to introduce him to carrying. Unfortunately being a novice he didn't use the clip like we do, and instead just dropped it in a coat pocket that had to be dug through to get it back out. Meh, details.....:)

Ive been thoroughly enjoying my summer vacation so far. How's everyone else doing?

Knife content: Made a kickass roast beef sammich earlier, and lil stabby helped with slicing the tomatoes and bread.

Late to the reply but, well! I just got home from vacation. Drove 3k miles back and forth, took my carbon fiber Devin Thomas Sebenza with me. Glad to hear you're enjoying your break.

Thanks zeta! The enjoyment continues...

We've been in Vancouver for the past week having fun, visiting old friends and relatives and checking out the local school I'm most likely going to. Today we had a picnic near the beach, and yesterday it was a trip to Victoria on the ferry. Saw a pod of killer whales even. Way cool.

Where's Shamu? Snap any photos of the orcas?

I got a few phone videos, but I'm not sure I can upload them. Can I do it through photobucket the same way I do pics? And in my post do I go to "insert video" like I would for a YouTube video instead of "insert picture"?

Hey, it's been a while! How are you guys doing?

Dario updated me a few days ago that he was finishing up my knife. Unfortunately today he updated again with the bad news that he found a crack in the blade and it broke in half when he tested it by smacking it against the table. He's making me a new one and says he'll try to finish it this week.

Ugh, always something keeping me from my new blade! Haha, oh well. At least he noticed the crack before sending it out. That would have sucked a whole lot more!

Sold my SnG and bought car parts then traded my anodized Small micarta Insingo for a large Starbenza. That puts me at 2 larges and a small. I think because I carry a small nearly every day that I've gravitated towards keeping mostly large Sebenzas for rotating. I'll probably end up with another Insingo at some point.

Sucks about the knife, but you've got an honest dude to work with, which is great.

That sucks about the broken blade!
I've been good, Just shuffling money around to try and stay afloat. I got my first speeding ticket the other day, school is starting soon, my custom will be done in July, plus my monthly bills are starting to push me to finally get rid of some knives soon. That ticket kind of eliminated my "cushion." I kind of wish I hadn't ordered that custom now, but I'll make it all work.
But on a brighter note, my sister surprised me with tickets for her, my cousin, and I to Sloss fest in AL to go see my all time favorite band, Modest Mouse, so I am quite stoked about that. They came to town recently, but by the time I found out they had already sold out.

Now that summer is in full force, I'm swimming every day but that's it. I have a slip joint folder on order with Jim Dunlap, and I'm inquiring about some custom work on one of my buck knives.

I'm baaaaaack! I've been busy the past little while, but I profited $546 from my neighborhood, and 150 for helping lay did in my own yard (lol). So I'm looking at a new knife or two... I really want something different from what I have (assisted and a few manuals plus the 2 butterfly's) I've been looking at lever locks, and have found 2 different ones on bladeplay in the $20-30 range... But really any autos... I just don't know lol...

Exactly what I was thinking. It's much better that HE finds out about that crack than you finding it. Stuff happens, and he's willing to admit it and start over rather than put out a substandard blade.
I've been alright. Working on a bunch of stuff at once, but chipping away at it.

Working like, lame working, or on knives?

Eh, working on stuff around the house when I'm off, working on the typical stuff when I'm at work.
As far as knives, I'm still working on designs, sourcing and gathering materials, and I actually found a good place to do my heat treatment work.
It looks like I will most likely be using 1085, 5160, 52100, A2, and probably O1. I found out a buddy of mine knew of a secret stash of actual Westinghouse micarta, so I scooped that up at a nice price. :)
