THE "Knives on NCIS" Thread

Great thread. I follow Gibbs Rule #9 religiously. I love the fact that knives are such an important detail in the NCIS show. You don't see as many on other crime scene shows.

We certainly have moved past MacGyver and his SAKs.

I had the work done at Chris Reeve. It took about 3 weeks from when I sent it in till I had it back in my hands. I think they did a good job.

Since NCIS is my favorite show and since this is show related, I thought I would post pics here as well. Enjoy...........Let me know what you think ???

They did an excellent job as would be expected.

I didn't know we could do that. I have an idea but need a new scale. One of my scales is carbon fibre.

I'm a huge fan of NCIS, just am bummed that Harmon is an anti-gun puke.

Yeah, they did a great job. if you get a new scale, you can get it colored, but options are limited for existing knives. I was told titanium is cloudy by nature and ones that are not cloudy are used for unique graphics, ones that are cloudy are blasted over and made into regular sebenzas. Maybe someday I will have one does with a diffeent font or letter style that stands out better or have one made with colors. So far, I am having fun carrying this one around :D

I must admit, I haven't watched this TV series yet. It looked too much like a CSI clone to me. But this thread has made me realize that Cote de Pablo is a very, very good reason to watch NCIS hehe

What about Kate ??? She is great as well. Plus, she was a secret service agent that protected the president of the US !!!

Stallone is also anti-gun and he made a living killing people in Rambo, Cobra, etc..........Rediculas !

Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been watching other shows and there's hasn't been much knife content on NCIS.

Abby is acting like Ziva to mess with McGee

Season 5 Episode 18 "Judgment Day" (04:24):

Saw Ziva throwing a Cold steel Kobun into a wall on the episode where (spoiler) Ziva was suspected of being a spy for her country by the FBI and she had to go and hide, and she called Gibbs who just retired to help her.

I only ask because when the knife sticks into the wood the blade wobbles a bit and the Kobun looks much more rigid.

Just curious. Thanks.

We've never paid for our knives appearing in this or any other show. We're very fortunate, several production crews carry Spyderco.

Kristi

Spyderco seems to be the crew knife of choice... A number of crew supply stores seem to carry em, and I've seen a number of random set guys with em... Don't know why exactly, but its nice to know such a functional knife is so easy to obtain, even here in LA. One of the supply stores on La Brea even has a huge picture of a Spyderco in their window...

She may be carrying it concealed. This warrants more careful observation. Never fear, though, I'm on the case (NCIS is on right now).
