THE "Knives on NCIS" Thread

Don't count them out until you call. I've dealt with them both over the internet and in person. They are good people with a huge stock in their store. Usually they will say if they are out of stock and the listing is for reference only.

Thanks Yablanowitz! I did call the Knives Plus folks and they had stock on the Gerber 5856 and shipped it right to me! And as you suggest they are great to deal with on the phone. SO there was stock there...Never Assume..!! Thanks again!!

This episode first appeared 1/23/07. Gibbs is trying to arrest Sharif if the Train Station Men's Room and goes down (poisoned) and pulls what appears to be the Gerber Emerson Alliance Automatic. Can anyone confirm?

A slight derailment, but it's my thread, I can do what I want :D

There was a SOG Twitch XL that played a pretty important part in an episode of House. A patient jambs it into a socket to electrocute himself, and then later on, House plays with it for a bit.

One thing the world doesn't need in reality...Dr. House with a knife....but then how'd he do surgery?

Another "NCIS" junkie here... I'm going to start logging how many times I've watched each episode! :jerkit:

Went thru the entire thread... I can finally add my $0.02 on this one:

in the episode where tony gets kidnapped, he has a belt-buckle knife that he uses as a screwdriver, but it's impossible to get a good enough look to determine the manufacturer.

I believe its a Bowen,a bit cheap but better than none.

DiNozzo quotes Rule 9 "Never go anywhere without a knife" and then reveals that he has a belt-buckle knife.

"Always carry a knife."

I believe the main bad guy in the season opener had a Buck Kalinga. Anyone have a screen capture?

It sure looked like a buck kalinga. When it was laying on the ground though, the guard was brass and it looked like the prommel was brass too. I have 2 kalingas, but neither have a brass prommel. maybe it was an older one ? We need a good screen shot.

I figured as much - most if not all dems are hypocrites. I recently saw a list of all the conservatives in hollywoooood and he was not among them. Nobody on the show was on the list.

By now you'd think people are intelligent enough to see that both sides are hypocritical idiots.

Nice topic, by the way.

I think the Kalingas used to have a brass butt years ago but not sure.I know it is the first knife I thought of when I saw it on the show.

Thanks for the info ... here was I thinking it may have been some tourist-type Jambiya.:o

I hate to drag this from the depths, but I have to. Both Gibbs and DiNozzo pulled out ZT's to cut steak in tonight's episode.

FUCK yes! I just saw the ZT knives and it looked like Gibbs had the 301(green) and DiNozzo had a 300(black)

I was watching NCIS tonight too. Was wondering how long it'd take for somebody to post here after noticing those nice toys in tonight's episode... Pretty cool!:D

I also love knife-spotting in these TV shows (movies, too)....have seen several in "24", and "The Unit" as well....one in particular where Jack Bauer IDs a bad guy based on the fact that the perp is packing a MicroTech Halo (or something like that).
I think the Kalinga shown above is a copy....I`m holding a real one, circa late `70s, in my hand right now. While they DID have brass handguards, the guard *did not* extent up beyond the top of the blade, as the one in the photo clearly does. Also, the swedge on the knife in the photo extends back considerably farther than the Buck model.

well, it's interesting that this thread would rise up again! :) i saw the two ZT'S and i noticed Gibb's ZT had the tiger stripe on the blade and Tony's looked to have a tan grip and black blade. i always get the 301 and 302 mixed-up. i could be wrong about Tony's. t wonder what ZT Ziva carring! :D

Kiefer Sutherland is a Microtech collector apparently. There was a scene where he was in the limo with a businessman, and he comes at him with an OTF automatic. Jack Bauer remarked something like, "What kind of businessman carries a Microtech Halo III?"

Jack was tortured in another episode by a terrorist with a large regular plain Sebenza. I think he stabbed him in the shoulder.

Speaking of Sebenzas, Tom Cruise's character in Collateral used a lefty classic plain Sebenza to stab someone in, I think, the leg.
