THE "Knives on NCIS" Thread

The only part of any NCIS episode that I did not like was one where the team had to go into the "Virginia hills" (most likely just outside of DC) and had the hillbillies assist in a search-that was before I became a knife addict---cast looked like poor imitations of Deliverance characters....(although some of the long beards looked like some renownd knifemakers....no insult intended) ....more of the way they portrayed the area in general....every time there is an episode of most series portraying the South there're either exaggerated accents, dress, manner, etc. Pet peeve of mine....anyway,,,,just wish I could afford some of those bearded guys' handmade knives......I hope I can find the Eddie White I passed up a couple of months ago again at the gun show this weekend in Charlotte.....

I posted that on page 2 of this thread. Benchmade AFO 9050BK was the best guess.
 
If last nights episode was a new one, there was a knife.

Mcgee used it to cut down a body that was tied to the ceiling.

I couldn't tell you what it was.
 
In the pics posted Gibb's knife seemed to be part serrated and when I searched to buy one (which is another story as they are hard to find) the straight edge was shown as 5857 and part serrated was 5856. Can someone please confirm the Gerber model Gibbs carries?

Also any thoughts on where to find one 4sale online as shown in the screen shots posted? Thanks!!
 
This thread will never die, its just taking a summer break like the show. Expect it to start back up in september :p

Gibb's knife is definitely serrated, my apologies if I got the model number wrong, I will look into it.

I tend to lose interest in TV shows once I catch up to them on cable. I can't stand waiting a week for each new episode.

But I see that Season 6 is complete, so I will get watching.

I believe its a Bowen,a bit cheap but better than none.

Thanks for the fast response Dekz. Given that this knife is discontinued by Gerber combined with all the misinformation on the internet maybe you had it right and the site I was at had it wrong. I appreciate you double checking. Then all I gotta do is find one somewhere... Thanks again!!

Don't count them out until you call. I've dealt with them both over the internet and in person. They are good people with a huge stock in their store. Usually they will say if they are out of stock and the listing is for reference only.

Ya there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of into about this knife out there. In any case, all evidence does point to the combo edge model being the 5856, I just finished correcting all mentions of this in the thread, thank you for pointing this out.

Plowed through 3 episodes last night, sorry guys, no knife content. I'm off to watch some more now though!
 
Well it took 8 episodes but I finally found some knife content! But Josh K already posted the pics at the top of this page.

Ziva uses her MOD CQD to clean her fingernails.

Season 6 Episode 8 "Cloak" (02:07)

I saw that episode of NCIS where Tony uses his belt buckle which is really a hidden knife. I went looking online and found the Bowen as well...that seems to me to be the one used on the NCIS show. Was good quality, the Bowen folks were very helpful (they called the phone nbr I gave them before shipping to double check something on the order), and the knife is just what I expected. The only thing I'll mention is to make sure to add 2+ inches to your usual belt size for fit. I wear that belt all the time...I'd definetly buy it again. Enjoy...
