The Last Blade You'd Ever See Me Carry Is A.....

You liked the other retarded discussion better? Isn't this place supposed to be fun? I'm having fun and I think Zyhano is too...If you don't like this thread why not find another? It's not like we're stopping important work from going on.

No you're not, but you two can have your little discussion through email if you like. The topic of this thread is not "do you think pink is manly" or "do you think pink is ghey". The topic is "the last knife I would ever carry". A pink handled knife got thrown into the mix and everyone lost their god damn minds. The place is supposed to be fun, but just because you two are having fun doesn't mean that others are. Start a new thread where you guys can talk about pink all you want, but this thread isn't the place.

Edit: I did like this thread until the ghey police found it.

Eh, I have a pink dress shirt that works well with my navy blazer & gray pinstripe suit, and a pink tie that complements a blue gingham shirt. I choose what I wear, and my girlfriend likes it when I look good. Until we go out in public, then she hates it when any other females want to talk to me :D

my on topic list is pretty long, and enough feathers are ruffled. There's the standard crap too cheap to own, but then there's the crap too expensive to be worth the asking price, and being peddled by thieves & liars.

Fair enough...I guess we did hi-jack this.

I hear you, but don't take this too seriously. you and others can still contribute to this thread by posting your least favorite knife, even if it's not pink.

I agree with Stelth (on the last remark), thanks for the compliment btw.

I don't think I would ever wear pink myself or buy a pink knife. :D

But I used to buy pink lighters because I could sit them down an nobody would take them.

I'll go, and I'll probably get flames...I won't carry any Kershaws. Aesthetically, they just don't do it for me.

How bout ZT's?

Heardheart: You've piqued my curiosity about the expensive knives made by liars and thieves. I wann know I wanna know I wanna know!

I remember from drawing lessons that pink is red with some white mixed in. So a pink knife means you're a commie and a coward.
*quietly strops pink delica and waits for replies.*

I am someone who has a distinct taste in design. Cold Steel makes my stomach do back flips so I steer clear of their products.

Ok, back on topic.
I do have to admit this is a little too much for my taste too.

I definitely won't wear this one.
Ever

He is talking about Strider, but we really don't need to start that one up again now do we?

There is more than one thread about it here already, long ones at that....

Just do a search for Strider and Cold Steel and you will find them.

I have 2 Striders I like but ZT's don't appeal to me...I don't like recurves and they seem to do a lot of those. Their handle shape isn't to my liking either. I'm not saying they're no good; they're just not for me.

Yeah, I already knew about the whole Strider debacle. I was wondering if there were any others out there I should be wary of besides them..... well and BD obviously.

I guess I can find these things out in Feedback and GB&U.

i wouldnt carry united cutlery, mtech, a karambit because i cant use it, and probably cold steel as a last resort.

:) jk dude

There are plenty of names in the Hall of Shame. My first custom order was from Dale Reif, I went through 2 years of 'just a couple more weeks' before I got something that wasn't even what I ordered. Some of these guys are still selling knives.

I can't believe you'd ditch the Opinel -send it to me if you really can't stand it. the steel is great for a back up and the weigh very little for a secondary knife! - this is a greatly undervalued knife -in the spectrum - I've had one for over thirty years and even used it! I'll be waiting for you to email me for where to send me that knife you hate!
Peace
Revvie!

Oh i have a feeling that i'm going to regret this, however, here we go ... The Last Blade You'd Ever See Me Carry Is A..... a folder. Function is the purpose of a tool. A (fixed blade) knife is one of man's earliest tools (and was probably inspired either by the lack of good toothpicks or bad teeth) and like most old forms and designs, they function splendidly. As a corollary point, most great designs adhere to the KISS rule - and folder designs certainly do not. One posting mentioned 'folder' and 'combat' in the same sentence - scary! A folder is at best a second-rate substitute for a real knife. All the fuss over design, complexity, blade deployment, etc., sounds like something one would expect from drugstore cowboys, not people who need and use knives as real tools. Compared to fixed blade specimens, folders are weak and clumsy to deploy - i never carried such a liability in the field. Having said all that, i did have a cute folder once, when i was a child, but then i grew up...

okay, roll out the artillery!
