The Legend of Waynorth - Does he really exist?

Made me smile again today:

Yes, Charlie is a man of mythic mystery. They say he walks here and there, shrouded in a fog of fine sawcut bone-dust.

In the winter, he travels on ice skates constructed of 1095 forged by the elves.

Seriously though, he is an amazing ambassador for the knife industry, personally resurrecting forgotten knife patterns.

And I hear he's a heck of a guy too!

You are right about the Christmas idea. I told Charlie that back before this thread started in my notification/thank you message. Glad we are on the same sheet of music. Also, that spear point is the first I knew about the blades switched around. I learned something new today...thanks. It is sweet!!

Who is this man in the blue plaid shirt, holding that SKUNK TC Sawyer Barlow? Has anyone really seen this man?. I suppose the pictures are proof, but, I wonder?

I met the fellow depicted in that photo at the OKCA show and I am fair certain he is the real Waynorth, at least. Even if he had not been in the company of no small number of fine TC Barlows at the time, there was The Phenomenon.

You see for quite some time I had been looking for (and getting skunked in the pursuit of), a humble user-condition Barlow of no particular rarity or provenance. And then I met this fellow in the picture and shook his hand and in the few months thereafter acquired through sheer dumb luck and perfectly honest means:
1) Single clip blade Wostenholm Barlow with sawcut synthetic handles
2) Clip main, pen secondary Boker Barlow with some kind of acrylic (poorly-done faux tortiseshell?) handles
3) Single spear Carl Schleiper Barlow with ebony handles

My theory? The Barlows know, somehow -- here is one who has met the Master. :)

As for the rest of your theory, well, as they say on Mythbusters: PLAUSIBLE
