The Les George Knives Thread

Anytime you see an LG tanto, as long as it’s in good shape at a decent price you should jump on it cause there isn’t a whole ton of them out here and Les
Has said several times that he won’t make anymore of them because he hates sharpening them.
Ye Mitch told me exactly the same thing. Oh well if I see one , I will jump on it

I said that as well once upon a time, and there’s quite a few that I wish I still had. But I also enjoy passing the happiness of owning them to others from time to time. It’s all part of the process to me.
My day 14 carry is a definite reflection of this. Made it my way via norcalAF norcalAF I certainly appreciate him for making this happen, along with a couple others. 😜IMG_0066.jpeg

Some more work shenanigans. I serviced three boilers, replaced a Tekmar indoor/outdoor reset boiler control, replaced a circulating pump bearing assembly and coupler, and repaired a gas furnace. That’s my son cleaning some burners cause my big ass wouldn’t fit back there lmao. IMG_3653.jpegIMG_3654.jpeg

Now this doesn't count for the carry countPXL_20251015_011353442.jpgPXL_20251015_024819244.jpgPXL_20251015_024825315.jpgPXL_20251015_024832457.jpgPXL_20251015_001410063.jpg, but I wanted to give y'all a preview. Behold the Damasquatch! Side note, I had to keep each button with their respective blade for them to work properly, so there is some tuning that goes into the action.

Keeping MK3 appreciation week rolling w/ the last of my BladeShow ‘24 exclusive knives. This one features DLC coated Double Diamond milled scales and some fantastic Nichols ladder damascus.

This knife along w/ yesterday’s Sweep Ti MK3 will always have a special place in my collection as Blade ‘24 was the first time I met Les and Necroanax Necroanax and I’s first trip to BladeShow. Hell of a good time!

Happy Hump Day!

CCKS "Driftwood" Rockeye
  • Two-tone, beadblasted scales with polished flats, featuring a driftwood pattern that’s machined, not lasered, into both the show and clip side scales. Les said this was prior to his having a fiber laser so the machining took forever.
  • Hand-rubbed XHP blade with a matching hand-rubbed pocket clip.
The final touches on this one were in October of 2016, so it'd be a fitting Halloween carry. 🎃

That was an epic trip! I'm looking forward to tackling many more together in the future. 🍻

When I actually bought my first two LGs and I didn’t know the first thing about it I believe Mitch told me a knife store in Alabama I believe it was Marks outdoors that Les was going to be there selling his newly made button locks and mk3s so I called them several times and they said they would sell me some the day he was going to be there. Well I called that day and then they acted like call back at the end of the day and if anything is left you can buy them. That didn’t sit to well with me after being told a few weeks earlier no problem. So naturally I raised a little bit of hell and then they agreed to sell me some right then. They said they had plenty of plain Jane’s and a few woodies left. I had no clue wtf a woody was lol so I went with the plain one. So I had the chance to own one but didn’t know what they were at the time. I’ve since sold both of them and wish I would’ve kept them since they were my firsts and I went through a lot to get them.
