The Les George Knives Thread

Keeping MK3 appreciation week rolling w/ the last of my BladeShow ‘24 exclusive knives. This one features DLC coated Double Diamond milled scales and some fantastic Nichols ladder damascus.

This knife along w/ yesterday’s Sweep Ti MK3 will always have a special place in my collection as Blade ‘24 was the first time I met Les and @Necroanax and I’s first trip to BladeShow. Hell of a good time!

I would love to see the prices next to them. All of you guys are showing some seriously amazing pieces of Les George art. 👍

When I actually bought my first two LGs and I didn’t know the first thing about it I believe Mitch told me a knife store in Alabama I believe it was Marks outdoors that Les was going to be there selling his newly made button locks and mk3s so I called them several times and they said they would sell me some the day he was going to be there. Well I called that day and then they acted like call back at the end of the day and if anything is left you can buy them. That didn’t sit to well with me after being told a few weeks earlier no problem. So naturally I raised a little bit of hell and then they agreed to sell me some right then. They said they had plenty of plain Jane’s and a few woodies left. I had no clue wtf a woody was lol so I went with the plain one. So I had the chance to own one but didn’t know what they were at the time. I’ve since sold both of them and wish I would’ve kept them since they were my firsts and I went through a lot to get them.
True story, I owe this one to Mitch as well, he put me in contact with the seller 😂

I actually got to go to Marks on one of my volleyball trips. They have a well stocked knife section. Definitely worth checking out if ever in the area. They also had a LG galvo sitting on the shelf. I regretted not buying it because he offered a pretty good deal on it. They were pretty cool guys working over there.

Also, I know the regret of being a newb and missing out on good ones. For bladeshow Atl ‘23 I was specifically there just to score a button lock. I was fortunate enough to get one but passed on some beautiful dammys with milling. At the time I wasn’t yet into damascus but I now regret missing out on some real special ones!

Ye for sure, Mitch be hooking up !

Thanks fellas, just trying to spread the LG love. When I got my first LG I was blown away how impressive it was. This was after having owned a hinderer and crk so I had some but very little experience with the mid techs. And the LG blew them out of the water imo.

And as I searched around and spoke with people here on bf, I was so confused as to how he seemed to be still under the radar. I was baffled how long term collectors may have heard of him but never actually held one. Something had to be done, hence the LG crusade.

All hail 👑 George!!!
