The Les George Knives Thread

Happy Friday, ya'll!

This piece has some special history behind it. Les made it for a friend sometime around 2011, describing it as “maybe the first Harpy” and from the time “when the Harpy was trying to figure out what it wanted to be when it grew up.” Whether it counts as a true Harpy or a one-off precursor, it’s a unique build with the first Harpy blade, basketweave carbon fiber Rockeye handle, and Chad Nichols Moku-Ti accents (bolster, clip, and sculpted backspacer).

Carrying my first ever Les George custom to kick off the final week of Lestober 🤘🍻 This Rockeye was a Monkey Muster lotto piece for the 2017 show and is shining example of Les’s CNC wizardry.

This Tephra milling is w/out question the most exceptional CNC work I have had the pleasure of handling. The stellar pattern of the Nichols ladder damascus blade is the icing on the cake. This one makes me smile every time I take it out of the case 🙂

Two new LGs during Lestober!! I think someone just took the lead in the lestober mvp race! Congrats

This is one of my favorite old giants.

It's a custom Les George Super FM-1 from around 2010. Beautifully tumbled titanium scales and a heavily stonewashed, hand-ground blade with a deep belly. Les officially licensed the Spidey hole specifically for this model. It arrived to me with an old school Les George Steel Flame dagger clip, which was a hell of a bonus. Measures a staggering 11.125" overall with a 5" blade and weighs in at 12.95 oz. It's the largest folder I own, but not even close to the biggest Les has made.

For the visual learners among us who'd rather see the picture than the numbers, here it is next to a VECP:
