Happy Saturday gents!
Pulled a fun one outta the case this morning. This beast is 1of 2 Les George & Michael Burch collab knives, which were lotto pieces on Les’s table at BladeShow 2014.
The knife is comprised of Tephra milled Hydra handles w/ a Zirc inlay, which Les made and sent to Burch. Michael finished this one off w/ his signature harpoon hamon blade, bronze ano, made its stock clip and performed finally assembly. Super strong detent and stunningly smooth closing action.
The original owner of this beauty is good buddies w/ legendary knife maker JB Stout. A couple years after winning the knife JB reached out to him and offered to make him a custom of his choosing in exchange for this knife. They struck a deal and JB proceeded to carry and use this knife for nearly 7 years before deciding to sell (a decision he openly regrets to this day!).
Though the condition isn’t “perfect” I love the knife’s back story and never feel bad about putting it in my pocket. It is truly an honor to have this piece in my collection.

Thanks man! Definitely a full size knife:Beautiful, what’s the size on that bad boy?
Wow this is XM-48 of Les George, definitely a butcher knife! Nice piece dudeThis is one of my favorite old giants.
It's a custom Les George Super FM-1 from around 2010. Beautifully tumbled titanium scales and a heavily stonewashed, hand-ground blade with a deep belly. Les officially licensed the Spidey hole specifically for this model. It arrived to me with an old school Les George Steel Flame dagger clip, which was a hell of a bonus. Measures a staggering 11.125" overall with a 5" blade and weighs in at 12.95 oz. It's the largest folder I own, but not even close to the biggest Les has made.

For the visual learners among us who'd rather see the picture than the numbers, here it is next to a VECP:

My mistake, this is the one that Necro recently sold. I got it from George and passed it to Necro. Not sure who has it now. It’s definitely spent time in many collections.Interesting, I was only aware of the one I had and necro had. So maybe there’s 3 known of. Do you remember where you got it?
Ahh, that makes sense. ThanksMy mistake, this is the one that Necro recently sold. I got it from George and passed it to Necro. Not sure who has it now. It’s definitely spent time in many collections.
No rotary dial phone for me. I need one that I can “Press 1 for English”.Please tell me that's your actual home phone.
I knew there were some Squatch fans out there!Well I meant to get a picture while at work and got busy and forgot, so here’s a picture of my girl buddy!View attachment 3008308
