The Les George Knives Thread

The V3 tanto is just a bit shorter than the button lock, maybe a hair thicker.

The button lock is as large (or close to) some of the bigger folder options.

All 3 on PB washers, the Zaan is well broken in and the Hinderer does alright, but the LG is far smoother than both.

With the matching darker finish on the swedge, along with the branding and blade steel markings, I don’t think it’s been reground. It does have what appears to be a shallow hollow grind. I haven’t seen another Servo like it. Everything else has followed a stonewash finish, though with amazing inlays like yours. I picked it up as a user and just continued using it. Admittedly it came with a different finish dagger clip that better matched the bronze hardware and anno that I replaced in favor of the stonewash.
 
Day 9: Tanto Tuesday!

The actions on all three of the tantos I've owned (down to only one now..😢) have been outstanding. It could just be small sample size, but I'm becoming convinced that Les puts some extra magic in them. It's a damn shame he doesn't make more. The fact we're only getting ONE Tanto Talos is a tragedy. I suppose it makes the ones that do exist that much more special, but the world needs more of these things.

Agreed on all accounts man 💯

The fact that he even made the one Tanto Talos is such a tease - he knows how badly everyone wants Tantos and he’s just playin’ with us 😂

Beautiful knife my friend - perhaps I’ll get lucky and find a DLC Tanto one of these days!

Agreed!! Love his tanto’s! I’d be happy with any new blade shapes. Would give me a reason to buy more vecps!

Just a bit of luck on my part...

I should know by tomorrow, I'd guess, since he's out of pocket at the moment. Like you guys, he's a huge fan and says that LG is his favorite maker in the price range. That's really saying something.

Guess I'll be finding out whether "I didn't know what I didn't know". I'll man up and admit it if that's the case, you can be sure. In fact, I'd be happy to.

If I'm being honest, the tanto VECP I had was the worst action of any of my Georges. That's not to say it was bad, it just wasn't as good as the others, which have all been amazing. I kind of wish I'd kept it, seeing now how hard they are to come by. And all these pics aren't helping any!
