The button lock is nearly identical in OAL, the tanto about 1/2" shorter. Blade on the Talos is about 1/3" longer than button lock.As part of this challenge this weekend, can anyone share a side by side size comparison of a Talos vs a VECP? Looks to be just a little less than a 1/2'' OAL longer by specs.
oh wow. they almost look the exact same size (VECP and Talos). I was under the impression that the Talos was longer. Online specs say 3.875'' BL/ 8.5" OAL for Talos and 3.5''/ 8.187'' for VECP. On your photos its hardly discernable .. even looks like the Button Lock is longer. Does the button lock have different dimensions than the framelock VECP?The button lock is nearly identical in OAL, the tanto about 1/2" shorter. Blade on the Talos is about 1/3" longer than button lock.

Really hard putting this down after waiting a loooong time with probably the best action on all my folders.
The trick is to take the stock clip off and put a Hinderer clip on. Problem solvedI had a Mac 2, and the action was great, unfortunately the lockbar cutout was very sharp and would not allow the knife clip to release the knife from my pocket without considerable coercion. Otherwise it was a great knife with excellent blade to handle ratio. I also had to move on my Automac as I couldn't carry it anyway and if I'm gonna have some safe queen auto's, they are gonna say LG on the side!
I wished I knew that you were going. I paid another fella 75 bucks to pick me up a mk3. He got me what I was wanting a mk3 blue morph. Can't wait to get it!Day 12!
Brand new mk3 from bladeshow! No Talos but happy with the trip overall. Les got bum rushed. Said it was the first time ever. Talos and button locks were gone with the early birds. We were fourth in line for general admission. Only maybe 5 mk3’s were left to choose from. I got this one and my buddy got a morph. By the time we paid and rolled out from the table, he was completely out of folders. Great show for Les!

Haha, done^^^^
Hey, quit flappin' your gums and answer your PM. LOL.
Ha, that dang double edge swordI knew this 30 day challenge was going to end with me having another LG lol . Well donemitchnola . I am glad I held out for the proto talos instead of springing for the eBay one for $100 less .
Does anyone know what the difference is between the 2024 Talos and the earlier models ?
Thats AWESOME news. From what I can tell....he couldn't be more deserving.Ha, I wish I had ya proxy. Congratulations!
Great time and adventure! We drove all night, no sleep, in line for 4.5 hrs. Fourth in line for general admission and got to pick out of 5 or 6 mk3’s left. If we hadn’t damn near ran we wouldn’t have even gotten those. The last of em were sold before we even paid for ours. Early bird was a must but thats a whole other level of crazy!
Show was awesome! Great to see Les. He was definitely a lil overwhelmed and in Shock. His hair was all tussled, it was funny. He definitely wasn’t expecting it! Super happy for Les, probably had the first empty table!
Really was, he had a smile of bewilderment on his face!Thats AWESOME news. From what I can tell....he couldn't be more deserving.
