The Les George Knives Thread

NorCal Well I see the Hinderer buying spree didn't last long! Already got em on the chopping block
😂, a full track landed Friday and another XM3.5 lands tomorrow, don't count me out just yet! I just need some cash on standby for that servo drop! Oh, and a project x is on the list to buy as well!

Day 14: Safe Queen Sunday

FM-1 (Folder Model 1) custom Les created for Blade Show 2017 with a Chad Nichols XHP Core Boomerang Damascus blade. The FM-1 is Les's oldest design and also the first custom I ever bought. I really dig the slight recurve Les put on it, which isn't typical for this model.

Safe queen Sunday!!

This is Les’ first batch of the WC Eagle. The first batch came on teflon washers and drilled for both tip up and tip down carry. Of course Les worked his magic and it has probably the smoothest action of all my knives on teflon! I try not to have any safe queens but I can’t help it with this one. I feel obligated to keep it in flawless shape considering it made it this far in mint condition.

I love how thin it is!

I love that Damascus pattern. Such a cool knife. Is that a marbled carbon inlay?

Thanks! I've always really liked Boomerang Damascus so I'm fortunate that this knife has an exemplary pattern of it. Yes, the inlay is marbled carbon fiber. Here is the wooden placard that came with it:

I've been tempted to get Adam to make a black timascus inlay for it since it wouldn't affect being able to bring the knife back to original while also fitting really well with the configuration, but I can't get over the fear of putting it in the mail. Maybe some day, but for now I'm still very happy with it.

Thoroughly enjoyed checking this one out! Insanely smooth and so comfortable in hand!

Makes me think about picking up one of the Boker production models when they release this year to carry and use.

But who knows… with Les’ popularity soaring even the Bokers might be tough to score!

It was great having you over! It's fun to show pictures of the collection, but nothing beats being able to share a collection in-person. I'll be posting your favorite next Sunday. If you want to stop me from only having a mediocre picture of it, you know how to get a hold of me!
