Same here, didn’t take long at all for mine to break in but still not as drop shutty as the og but getting there quickly.

Good research! It's still a 1 of 1 and a piece Les specifically chose to show off on all his social media. The fact any cosmetic imperfections existed from his own testing/handling is the best possible scenario for them. Adds character and confirms the piece!

Did it come like that from Texas or is that wear ? Honestly I love the DLC morph look but this is kind of why I’m really set on a morph stonewash VECP

I too am a purist. I like my color through and through. Au Naturale. Heat. Patina. Texture. Ti is too purdy for me to want covered.

Day 18: Thermal Thursday

Trying to bring a little bit of heat today with one of my favorite pieces: a DLT 12 Days of Christmas VECP with a hand ground Intrepid Damascus blade. Ray from Cap City Creations, who I believe to be the best scale modifier in the business, did a number of cosmetic modifications to it including hand bark texturing the scales. I put a Steel Flame Crusader clip on it because the oxidation of the vintage gun metal finish matches up perfectly with the blade.

Yeah… an exceptionally well done mod. Hard to believe he does the texturing by hand! The darkened thumb studs are a nice touch as well

Indeed! MK3s break in so quickly… like 75% faster than my VECPs.

This one locks up like a damn bank vault and is walking that scary smooth “need to protect my fingers in fear of losing one” line, which I believe you know a thing or 2 about
