The life of a Case peanut from Day 1

9 days out of 10 is pretty impressive. Maybe you can start a new acronym like NPC for "90% Carry" or AEDC for "Almost Every Day Carry". :p

That's how it is with my yellow Peanut. About 90% of the time it's my #2 in the watch pocket for nearly a year now. It's rare that I don't have this Peanut with me. Sometimes it's my chestnut Peanut if not this one.

No thanks! The now-nearly-ubiquitous use of "EDC" as a verb is enough to drive me up a wall. "I'm going to EDC this new _____ while I'm on vacation." "I EDC my serrated _____ on the weekends."

Guys, EDC stands for EVERY DAY carry! :mad:

I've just read this entire thread and have thouroughly enjoyed the journey, Mark. I think it must be about time we had another update:D

I just love the case peanut, I have collected a few (no easy task in the UK) which means I sometimes struggle to decide which to pocket each day! I'm inspired by this thread to decide which it will be for the long haul.. But it will be my Chestnut bone CV or Yella CV?!

Or maybe I should alternate days haha, this is a sickness after all..

I just spent 30 minutes reading through this whole thread, and enjoyed every minute of it! Love that patina and how the bone has smoothed out over the years.
 
Thanks for the update. Just came across this thread and skimmed through your pics mostly. Definitely one of the better threads, in my opinion. Now to go back and read a bit.
 
I just saw this thread today, read the whole thread before posting. It’s incredible that for almost 9 years now you have carried the same knife a great portion of the time. I love the Nut myself and have one in my pocket 99% of the time, just not the same one. My latest is a single blade Peanut that I just love, nice and thin and don’t have to worry about that pen blade. Reading makes me want to get a Chestnut CV for the beauty of it. I have to say I’m not a one knife person so along with the Peanut I carry a medium sized knife like a Russlock, Mini Trapper, Mini Copperlock, or a Slimline Trapper, not because I don’t think the Peanut is capable I just like to carry 2 or more at a time.
