Cool... that koa is going to look awesome. I'm waiting for glue to dry on mine as well... decided to go with the red/black micarta I made.

Mr K should be gluing up my Amendoin wood scales for my LRK+ - some of us are not as "crafty" as others, but I still enjoy seeing your wip pictures -

wow. i don't even know what amendoin wood is. can't wait to see it!
 
Amendoin (pronounced amen-doe-eeen) is a hardwood from south america with a very tight grain and really beautiful graining, not burl or anyhing, but it is harder than red oak, but less hard than Brazilian Cherry -

We used this on our floor and had quite a few pieces of 3/4" slats left over - I brought some to John and I have a few pieces here as well if someone wanted enough to scale a blade.

I am jealous of you guys getting to do your scales already.
I'll be getting my satin LRK this month though,then I can have at it.
Nice using your home made Micarta PG,that'll be a knife to be proud of.

And Todd,I prefer potato chips on my Ham & Cheese sandwich.:p

I used to consider sandwitches like that a special treat at university, still do come to that :p

Started my sheath while watching the Tour de France. Knife handle received some finish today.

And now it is done. The heat treat finish was rubbing off in spots, so I decided to lightly sand it off. Sorry for all the photos, but I'm pretty proud of how it came out :D
