The Mighty Mighty Moose! Post your mighty moose and provide insight to this pattern!

Thanks guys. It's funny and says a lot considering I didn't care for it at first but gradually just dropped it in my pocket everyday and now I just don't feel right without it at work. Heck it even worms it's way in on weekends from time to time.

Think I will start collecting Marbles as they are cheaper and they roll around and I can have fun with them.!! lol

Didn't know this Moose thread existed. Coincidentally, I have one on the way to me. Some really fine looking examples here. Makes me more anxious to get mine.

Great pic Shane!!

In photography, showing a person in their workplace or familiar space is called an environmental portrait. It gives the person some context and provides insight into their life...

Always enjoy those kind of pics with knives (and their owners) as the subject! :D

This moose opened the door for a lot of friends...

She was my first knife purchase in more than 15 years (aside from a fillet knife). For whatever reasons, I stopped carrying pocketknife when I went to college. This knife was my segue back. Now I carry too many, and have many more. I can't imagine being without a blade anymore.

My ebony Moose has been my goto carry since I received it. I use a pocket slip, so it really doesn't feel that much different to carry han a single blade 15. I really like this knife alot!

Student, you may want to get your hands on a few to compare before you buy. My Case Moose pattern knives (a 1972 and a 2006) both have spring tension that open on a "6" on the 1 - 10 scale. My Winchester BGC is a strong "8" on the Clip master blade (a little strong) and a "7" on the Spear (the Spear is okay on the pull). My new AAPK SFO GEC 54 is at least a "9" on both blades. I don't even mess with the GEC anymore, it is back in the tube while I decide whether to keep it or not - I've held onto it so far because it is the finest looking and best fitted of my four Moose knives. The Winchester is a recent trade; I have to watch carefully not to get cut with the Clip blade, I carry it because I like the looks of the frame style. The two Case I own have good pulls for my hands and suit my preference - I would consider the two of them the most practical users I own of the four. OH

I agree The clip main on mine is tougher than my other Moose patterns. It's tough but not impossible. GEC's hard pulls is why I didn't get one of those right off. The swell center Winchesters are firm but manageable and I'm carrying one pretty regular.

I have a CASE Classic coming and I'm betting that one will be just right. (It's almost too pretty to carry though)

Thanks man! By accident or intent, she has become relegated to small game processing rather than EDC work. Used to ride pretty comfortably vertically in the back pocket alongside my wallet. Maybe we'll have to have some reunion time...it's a while still before squirrel season. [emoji1] [emoji106]
