The Moose is Loose!

Anyone get one of the new releases from GEC? I just ordered one and should have it soon.

I sharpened up that Primble Texas Jack today. The clip blade has a really nice grind on it. The spey is a bit thicker.

And here's a Bull-head that I rounded up recently.

Hey Fes-
Did you dive for them or trap them?
Another question re moose-
Is it true that Moose were released in the southerly part of
NZ way back when (when the pakehas thought it was a good idea )
and if so are they still there lurking deep in some fiordland chasm ?

Hey Rocky! watch me pull a rabbit ota my hat.
(someone had to say it)

Sorry MEAKO missed your post.....yea trapped them in craypots....my toal fear of the sea forbids me from being potential shark bait!!....Yes moose were released here in 1905??...last one was shot in 1953?? i think? by Percy Lyes......never been another sighted with proof since then ...Ken Tustin has spent 10 years in fiordland trying to find them...there is ample evidence to suggest they are still there in small numbers.....Fiordland is HEARTY! country!!!!...............................FES

Supra....ive seen crays here that the body (carapice) is the size of a diving tank....Im sure MEAKO has too.........................FES

Yes..thats a good sized (BUG).....The smaller ones you show are what we call KURA...fresh water crayfish,my favourite by far,,very sweet flesh

While Diving in our of the top 10 best spots in the world...here in New Zealand called the POOR KNIGHTS, I have seen extremely large pack horses..that is a huge version of the Cray...POOR KNIGHTS being a reserve is a no touchy rule going on there as well.
Packies would at times be at least 25 inches long...a formidable and strong animal in his domain...thats for sure!
Fantastic place to Dive...stunning, the day I went there, the day before a good amount of Orca went through and cleaned up ALL the Stingray...usually you could hover above a Stingray probably very close to 2 metres wide...there wasnt one!
Nice Catch Fes...aaahhhh, now I know where to take YOU where you would be looking behind your back lol.

thanks Fes-thats interesting that there might be some left.
We used to get the freshwater yabbys when i was a kid .

Funny, she's holding that big lobster but would probably run from a cockroach. Same thing.

Well they're both Arthropods -we should email Bear Grylls oh hang on No need -i've eaten both and I can assure you Cockroaches don't taste anywhere near as good as Crustaceans.
