This has probably been asked before, but what is the most expensive knife, that you've lost?
I ask this because, I just spent 2 hours tearing up my hotel room looking for my custom Hinderer XM-18 3 1/2" flipper. Luckily, I found it, right where I left it. The worst part of it was, that as soon as I woke up my wife, I remembered where I put it. Now she can say "You shouldn't carry a knife that cost that much anyway." and I can't complain about the William Henry, that she lost.

On a side note, today is our 26 wedding anniversary and she still lets me feed my knife addiction. Looking at her right now, watching her sleep, makes me feel like the luckiest man on earth. I love her so much, I'd be lost without her.

congrats on the anniversary, and i would have to say an old puukko bushcraft knife i received from my cousins in england. cant remember who made it, just that i was 01 steel, and made in Sheffield, still bums me to this day that i lost it

Lost my s90v manix for a few months. Almost threw it away but I checked this old beat up back pack one more time for valuables before pitchin it and sure as heck, there she was. One of the best days of my life.

I lost a 4" leather handled Ka-Bar hunter when I was twelve. Does that count?

my BM 722, then my old traditional folder, it was a Case and at least 49 years old.... that one really stung.

I'll admit now I check my pockets a lot more frequently to make sure the knife is still there.

The only knife I ever lost was a CS Mini Pal that was on my key chain my Freshman year of college. Darn thing must have hooked on something. The worst part was that it apparently turned up in the car of a girl who at that point in time was a recent ex. I sure wasn't getting that one back! :D

I can only remember one knife I lost. It was a Kershaw blackout and one of my first decent knives. I was drunk and ended up in a girls bedroom which is probably where I lost it. But as hot as she was and the things that happened that night a $50 dollar knife 'fee' was more than worth it.

Limited Run from KnifeArt.com, 1 of 25, BG42 Redwood Burl Mnandi. :(

I say lost, because it's nowhere to be found, but I have a strange suspicion that one of my Sons took it and sold/traded it for weed. :( :(

My first Kershaw, the Storm II, with me for most everything. Left in on my bumper after i made a vase from a water bottle for the flowers i just used my knife to pick. Which were for my wife. :-( sad day. Congrats on 26 years, that is awesome, especially since you still feel that way towards her.

Haven't lost a knife in years, but in the last month I have lost a Sage 2 and a Cricket.

I lost my Mnandi with Ironwood from a Hotel room a few years ago.:( That one hurt. ($325)

I lost a Spyderco Kopa with gold-lip pearl from my pocket a couple years earlier. ($220)

I no longer travel with expensive knives.

I thought I lost a William Henry Limited Gen Tac, ($475) but found it a few weeks later between the console and seat of my car. That was a relief!

Lost a DDR 4" Stiletto Maxx at Ft Campbell. It was completely DLC with MOP inlays. IIRC, I paid 800 for it early 2004.

That's why I literally watch the road :D never know what you'll fine- I recently got a folding box cutter that way...

Geez whats wrong with you people :p Ok im guilty too, Ive lost a Buck Bantam and a Buck Vantage Avid during different times but I was camping both those times. Another time I almost got a knife stolen was when I was at a party passed out drunk on the couch, there was this guy looking through my pockets and found my Benchmade Gold Class Griptilian, my wallet and my phone and one of my best buddies walked in on him doing it and beat the crap out of him, sending him to the hospital. Im glad I have friends that have my back like that.
