About two years ago, in a visit to Northern CA, lost a Boker HK22 plain-edged tanto. It was clipped to a front strap of my Kriega Hydro-3, while on my mountain bike- gunning through downhill sections of El Corte de Madera Creek Trails. I rode alone and it was nearing feeding time for the mountain lions, daylight was fading fast and the fresh patches of leaves on the trail didn't help my cause. Made two passes at where I could have lost it, all to no avail. Had to head back while I still had some reserves to climb the steep trails going back to the car and I could still see the outline of the trees.
I should have heeded the alarm bells ringing in my head, since I knew that the knife's wire clip did not hold the knife securely. Then again, I was just going to take it easy- but once you start riding...
i either lost it when i moved or it was stolen. first spyderco knife i ever had. that was 6 years ago, need to get a new spydie
