The "My Turn for a GAW" GAW *WINNER ANNOUNCED!!!*

The folder arrived today, mailman took his sweet time, probably using it to cut bundles apart and didn't want to give it up until the very last minute ;)

Thanks Darren, this is one solid folder, pretty amazing. Here are some photos taken just now, first one shows it beside a medium stockman from Boker, really dwarfs that a lot !

Belated congrats to Gary G on winning the fine knife!:thumbsup::cool:

And belated plaudits to Darren for a generous and very engaging GAW!!:cool::thumbsup: Even though I didn't enter because I thought lots of others would enjoy the knife more than I would, I followed the thread quite faithfully to read about entrants' happy places. The GAWs I enjoy the most are the ones in which participants are encouraged to provide some kind of info that helps us to know them a little better! :):thumbsup:

So after I notified Gary that he had won the GAW he asked for my address again so that he could send me a coin as a traditional way to say thank you when gifted a knife. I thought that was a cool gesture and looked forward to seeing what coin it was going to be.
I got home from work tonight and found a package waiting for me from Gary...and it was WAY to big to be just a coin but if you've seen his packaging before you would know he doesn't mess around. So maybe it was a well protected coin :) Nope...it was more than that.

So I thought wow maybe he used a cigar box to protect the coin! Nope...it was not a cigar box.

There was my penny...the "coin" he said he was going to send me lol...taped inside an awesome knife box along with a cool bead and a lanyard! The penny is actually from the 60's and very cool :)

Talk about making my whole day. What a great gesture and perfect gifts and I am taken back by all the generosity I have received from you, Gary, and so many others here (was gifted a knife today that I can't wait to take photos of and properly thank the one who gave it to me). Seriously, what a great community and great bunch of folks. In a time where there is so much to be worried about in the world, it brings me great joy to be a part of all this. Now, for real, have a great weekend! Thanks Gary W. Graley Gary W. Graley :)
