The new Gayle Bradley C134CFP, from Spyderco!!

Well, after seeing video of it I may have to get this one. I was trying to refrain since the M4 millie is coming but.... If anyone is peaved that it is a liner lock I am sure the design is sound but given the thickness of the lock and construction it could easily be made into a slim framelock. What material are the liners made of?

Just what I have been looking for Sal!

Hollow grind M4 with carbon fiber.

I hope it's not a sprint run.

Thanks. Didn't see it on their site and had just thought about checking their thread in the exchange

I've got one coming from Knifecenter.

Me too. Spotted them on the site this afternoon, ordered, and got a nice phone call confirming shipment.

About an hour later, they were off the "what's new" page again.

Will make waiting on the Ti Millie that much easier.

Amazing that earlier this year there was a rash of $250-plus "super secret special limited edition" models in M4 from other manufacturers, yet this one can be had as a regular production model for about $140 and looks no less stout. Not to mention CF handles and UNCOATED M4 to boot. :)

Way to go Spyderco!

I couldn't agree with you more!!!

I have had enough of other companies runs of 50 and 250 lately. Then a person can't use it because it's a LE numbered model.

My #45 of 50 is getting that burned off when it gets re heat treated to 64-66 RC and reground to a thinner edge. Obviously I am not a collector and don't give a crap about resale value, I'm going to use that knife as much as possible. I'm going to get my $145 worth. At least my Gayle Bradley doesn't have a coating and will be much cleaner to re heat treat up to 64-66 RC, not to mention it is about $12 cheaper than my LE coated knife was.

Sal said somewhere that the liners are stainless steel. That is one heck of a liner lock.

I will say it's nice to see Spyderco going into regular production with M4. The materials on this one are all premium, and the street price is fabulous.

I hear you on the other company. I have many of the knives they've run off in M4. There is one that was a limited edition that hasn't gotten much interest. Roger at KW had a bunch of the Gauchos run off with PE M4 blades (black coated). This is an Osborne design with aluminum scales and an Axis lock. Some like it, some don't, and it has a kind of unusual semi-tanto blade design. Anyway, the price is attractive for an M4 folder - around $125 IIRC.

How thick is the blade stock? Are the liners skeletonized?

It must be a pretty stout & strong knife, as the weight is 5.3 oz, not heavy by any means, but about 2oz heavier than an Endura 4.
