Awsome news, I'm going to have to bring several pads of paper to take notes from all the extremely talented people who are going to be there >_< (and lots of extra batteries for my camera)

Gah, that weekend cant come soon enough... still 3 weeks isnt long, but it's going to seem like forever.

I hear ya, Deker. I'm trying to finish this sgian dubh before that weekend so I'm not hte only person there without a blade I've made to be proud about =D It's comming along quite well (albiet much slower than I had been hoping for, I've got about 8x as much time as I thought I'd take into it right now, but it's getting close. Blade itself is done, need to finish the handle now.)

This reminds me. I'd like to suggest that folks grab a 6pack or two of their favorite local brew to bring along. With the geographic diversity that will be present we should get a good selection :)

Yeah. Buying/Selling/Trading is encouraged

Any makers are welcome to bring knives to sell as well.

Further, Chris Kravitt will have sheaths (he does awesome work) and will take orders, so if you have any steel that needs a nice leather home, talk to Chris.
 
Oh, and speaking of beer, there are some good local breweries here in Vermont too. :)

We'll have a few coolers on site. One or two will be filled with water, gatorade, juice, soda, etc., and another will be filled with... other tasty beverages. :D
 
Man, Next Friday can't come soon enough

Weather permitting, I'll be traveling light, as I'm taking my cycle....a couple of pieces of damascus that I made at IG's at his last HI, a set of tongs & hammer, and the other necessities of camping.

When I was younger, my bike, poncho and a sleeping bag were enough for a couple of nights out, not any more....tent, air matress, credit card, cash.

If the weather is threatening :eek: , I'll hook a ride up with Justine, share the gas money, etc.

gonna be a good time guys.
definately bringing a camera, a lot of note pads, some show and tell... and a nice blanket so i can snuggle up with mace by the fire:barf:
