Man, if you'd mentioned this a while back I'd have been happy to put in an order with Kelly Cupples and bring it along. I just spoke with him (since I did just place an order actually) but he's out of town and won't get to shipping my order until Monday or Tuesday. It USUALLY takes 2 days to get my orders from him, but I'm heading out early Thursday so this would be the one time It'd take 3 or 4 days, I'm sure of it...

What sizes of 15n20 are you looking for? If I have some I can bring it along, and if I have my order from Kelley in time I could possibly be convinced to part with my 1084 powder and order some more.

i have a ride to the hammer in but i am looking for a ride back to the suffern n.y. area sunday after noon. (my ride is heading west to the mountains) suffern is at the lower end of the ny thruway. right where it goes into n.j. ;not far from where 17 comes into it. any help????????
p.s. mace will vouch for me. that is if the chechnian death squads havent caught up with him :D

I'm still not in freek-out mode yet. My guess is that work (being as busy as it has) is managing to keep me preoccupied. I hope it doesn't hit too soon, as I'm up to my eyeballs in stuff to do before I leave, and I'll need the sleep!

Derrick, have you got my new power hammer ready for me yet?;)

Rolled in with the new hammer around 3:30 am last night. Man that was an adventure!!! Up for work 3 hours later and I'm a little sleepy today.

So the hammer is here but with all the other stuff I need to do to get ready for this hammer in I won't be able to get it off the trailer, set up on a good foundation, hooked up to a motor, etc.

We'll just have to use the bullhammer instead...

Hoorah ! only three days and holiday's start and we're on the road. Nice little romantic getaway to Vermont. Almost picture book isn't it? Wonder if she'll still be taking to me by the time sunday afternoon roll's around and she has figured out that this weekend was all about ME! All kidding aside ,i'm stocked for this one. Paul

Make sure you all bring some wet weather gear. I just loaded an air matress into my supplies so i wont be on the ground in my tent.

Weather report says fri sat sun about 50% chance of showers each of those days, fri and sat highs around 70, sunday high around 80 with scattered thunderstorms.

I don't even know what I might be suggesting, I'm just asking.

I feel like a little kid the day before Christmas right now... I'm so excited!

What a summer so far... got my Js, got to attend a hammer-in in Montana, and now I get to travel to New York and Vermont for the first time ever for another hammer-in. WAHOO!!!! :D

The best part is going to be meeting people I've known for years but never got to shake their hand.

Nick - bring some stuff for show & tell.

Forecast is calling for *isolated* thunderstorms, which may or may not be a good thing depending on whether anybody catches on fire.

UPS dropped off yet another anvil yesterday - a nice little 100 pound cast steel Fulton... that makes 3 of mine that will be available for folks to use at the green coal station.

What else... oh, catering arrangements are now finalized. Lunch saturday is a cold cut platter (build your own sandwiches), pasta salad and fruit salad. Dinner is burgers and dogs with potato salad and green salad, and lunch Sunday is assorted sandwiches and chips. Nothing fancy but that's how we keep the registration fee low. Besides, what did you expect at a hammer-in, fois-gras and truffles?

One last thing - parking. There are a few spots available in my driveway and front lawn but most of you will have to park on the side of the road. Please do try to get as close to the edge as you can so as not to interfere with traffic. *For those of you who are camping on site I cut a second entranceway through the trees to access the property, but I only recommend it for those of you with 4 wheel drive. This access point is a little ways down the road from my driveway and will be marked with a sign. If it rains and things get muddy, best just to park on the side of the road. Please try not to tear up the field or get stuck in the mud.

:D Looking forward to this weekend!!! I will be camping on site as I waited too long to get a room..Hopefully mace will be too busy with spangler and mr purple to notice me :eek: ...
