The NEW Post Your Campsite/gear/knife/hiking/anything Outdoorsy Pic Thread!

I've been doing some gardening today.
Took some shots to kill time when I was taking a break.

My chopping tool of the day, an old cleaver that's been in the family for quite a while.

Raspberries, omnomnom

Pumpkins! I've been thinning out the weed around them in particular, so that the weed won't drain to much water away from the pumpkins. Now they can grow undisturbed untill they're big enough to be turned into soup.

Crappy tool broke down. BUT, now I've got a project to work on. I was waiting to use this blade for some modding project, but I didn't want to destroy the knife. Now that it's kaput, I can have my go at it.

Vortex - I really like the Julian Alps.

Is that light colored rock limestone/dolomite, or is it marble?

Lambertiana - It's my favourite region too. We visit it every year and there are still plenty undiscovered places for us. The rock is limestone (the valley is an alpine karst).

I hoped my pics of the Big Lake turned out better. I have to improve my photo skills to reach the quality of your and HikingMano's pics...

Vortex, beautiful area! While pictures can never do a place justice, yours do a great job in giving us a glimpse of the beauty. They're great! (from my decidely amateur perspective). I really like the first shot of the Big Lake, with the peak tops visible in the reflection

I wouldn't call my own snapshots quality, but I will, however, join you in envy of the eye candy Lambertiana provides :D

I visited Yosemite for the first time this past weekend. I'll post pics and maybe some videos later. Amazing place!

I dropped our old P&S in the ocean at the tail end of our last Big Sur camping trip:rolleyes:. This was the first trip for the new P&S, so I'm still playing around with it. Pics aren't great, but Yosemite is such a special place that I still want to share a few snapshots :) See the following post for a few more pics and a few videos.

(Due to the 165% of average snowpack this year, Yosemite Falls still flowed (albeit a trickle). Normally, they'd have dried up by now.)

Russell those pics from that Yosemite trip are just stunning!!

HikingMano, the environment where you're hiking is extraordinary to say the least. I'd love to visit those places sometime...

wow.... just wow. I wish I was in half of these places if not more than half. Makes me want to head out and do some hiking!

Went to lake Gogebic in the Michigan U.P. last week for a fishing trip. Stayed in a cottage so no camping pics but here are a few that I took while I was there. Bond falls,Lake of the clouds,Lake Gogebic, and a couple amazing river shots.Weather all week was perfect and caught some nice bass and pike.
