Good idea. Alabama football cranks up tonight, and I need to be fired up and energetic.

Cbear, sorry to hear of your grandmother's passing.

Hey terrio, congrads on your clearence sale sell out..........how about a loan? :D

I could use some belts. Just place another order actually. The M-18s and M-9s eat them.

I'm sure they do... that's a heckuva lot of steel dust in the slack bucket. You ever weigh one before and after grinding?

No, but I will now.

It's interesting. I'm working on a big ol' prototype, and keeping track of each step. I shaved off just over 4 ounces just by tapering the tang, and a solid ounce by grinding in the swedge. That's a pretty extreme example, but it does add up on bigger knives.

Difference between Todd Hunt and Jerry Busse is that Ethan has publicly supported Todd's work, hosted him (and Murph) at the Gatherings, allowed Todd to use his handle design on some knives, etc. Undoubtedly, there is more of a tie-in, cross-section. That said, I don't mind looking at Busses. I like many of the knives. I don't do much business there anymore, but the knives I own are great. I've still got a number of the oldies, but goodies.

substitute Todd Hunt for any of a dozen other knive makers as well... lots of back and forth respect there, inbreeding, i mean, family love! one of us! all that.

Ethan owns a little of everything. it would not surprised me to learn that Busse own a couple Beckers, if only to see what the fuss is about. Busse certainly has Ethan on speed dial, due to that hole incident, i would guess ;)

so yeah, it's all good. unless the mods say so :D

Cbear, sorry to learn of your loss, but peaceful sounds good to me.

O.k. fair enough, I suppose I deserved that. I also assume my lack of tact in my previous statement is the fuel for this tiff. But grow up man. Like Guyon says, post whatever you want. Hell, I agree, but if someone says something you don't like about it. be sure you can take it. I don't know why you let me get under your skin, Im just a little aggrivated that I don't see Beckers posted all over the place when I go to the Busse forum. LMAO! I might be a asshole sometimes and you may not like me and that is 100% fine, I may of been out of line saying what I said and I will take responsibility for that, but, Your not the only ones with friends here WW. And while I could of been more respectfull, I was just stating something that other people feel just don't want to say.

we're not butt hurt about anything...

notice how we're not defensive or threatened by "other knives". it's not the end of the world. we know where our bread is buttered. we certainly can take some heat. plus we got beer.

i what's this about a Becker Pack copy made by some Blackhawk company or something?

any good?

need me some more bags i do

sorry to hear about your grandma cbear, Alzheimer's sux....

all this talk about other knives makes me realize how bad I've been slacking about getting some of my pics up in here... :)
