i have an older gerber multi-tool its around 20 years old and going strong and was made in the usa its a handy tool indeed!

yup - I've got a 1st gen mil issue Gerber multi-plier as well.
the one with the awl/reamer.

Our nissan crapped out while camping this weekend. Only cost 2 grand when we bought it a couple years ago, Now it has over 150k miles on it, mostly city miles, and they want a grand to fix it.... In the last 6 months we already got a new alternator, brakes, rotors, battery, and new tires. Im not replacing any cracked head or cylinder assembly... I dont even know what they look like LMAO..... Time for a new car

I wanted to crack the mechanics head! And then stuff him in a cylinder assembly!

if the head craked wich they will do easy if made of alumimum and you drove it any distance oit likely heated up and stuck the piston rings so at a 2 grand car i would say junk it lol!

Were you able to watch falling skies? I can send you a couple links for other places to watch it ;) if you need
Thanks bro, 'preciate it. I was just gunna check side reel eventually

I just laid down near 2 grand for a Nissan with 150,000 miles already on it!! O.o

Yea that is the plan. There is all these signs and stuff that says they buy junk cars for like 400 bucks. At least its something.

Putting together a down payment now. Only decision is, if im going to go used an pay something off in 2500-5000 dollar range, or new and deal with a car payment.

Car payments suck, but new and warrantied is a big plus, especially when an engine looks like a hot mess of metal and plastic to me LMAO

ours had 112k on it when we got it a couple years ago. The guy wanted 2400, I offered him 2000 cash and he took it, The car was just listed on craigslist that day. The seller seemed decent enough, an older man living outside the big cities that said he was the only owner, and it had a clean carfax.... But I figured there was issues with the car for him to jump on 2000... So we took it to 2 separate mechanics to inspect who said it was in great shape for a 2001 car. It did run great the first year.

.... Philadelphia city driving killed it lmao

Do yourself a favor and get an older one that you can pay cash for. If you don't need something that gets awesome mileage, older American cars are easy to work on and cheaper to fix, even if you have to pay someone else to do it.

New ESEE Ethan Becker Signature Cooking Knives are on the way. Pics when I mangle some food.

Cool! That reminds me though, I never sent you your tracking number for that other thing. :o I apologize for the oversight. PM incoming.

Yup. 2K for 2 years' use ain't bad at all. Strip anything worthwhile out of it, junk it, spend 2K on another beater and drive it till it drops. Unless you actually enjoy doing the work yourself, never let a car nickle-and-dime ya to death. The little stuff really adds up.

One of the reasons Angie accepted her current job instead of the other two she was offered is, this one includes a company car and gas card and tons of "personal miles". It's not much of a car ('13 Ford Focus), but there's no payments, no insurance, no maintenance costs, no paying for gasoline, roadside assistance is covered... that really helps us when there's too much month at the end of our money.

Thanks Dubz. :) I was busy moving for a while and have just had a real busy summer since then. Have not been spending much time online. I recently bought a 600cc dirt bike and been a bit occupied playing with that too. :D

Found an old pic with my XR... I know I have some better ones, just have no idea where they are... still miss that bike :) Looks like I am changing a tire on a 500 Ascot, that is my brother watching me for whatever reason...

In other news, Ang and her Mom were busy yesterday afternoon/evening...

10 quarts of Veggie Soup stock, 4 quarts of salsa, 7 quarts of vegetable juice, 6 quarts and 20 pints of bread n butter pickles and 36 pickled eggs. Yum!

Our pantry is already almost full of canned stuff, not counting yesterday's batch... at this rate I may have to build more shelves. Which is a good problem to have :)
