So I threw some micarta in some hot Rit dye. Let sit for 30 min.
Rinsed in cold water then scrubbed clean in warm, soapy water.
I was going for black, but they turned out dark brown.
Oh well....
They dont look bad, just not what I was hoping for.

Ha, can't make me spend money this time dubz!

That little model is the cœur of my keychain ;)

Victorinox Camper comes along with me everyday, I have it rigged up with a quick dètach Via lobsterclaw with all my other keychain items hanging off of it so that it can quickly become a standalone knife again for serious work even though it's all tangled up in keychain.

It's a good knife. I found mine in a thrift store for $4.

LMAO, i thought you photshopped that wrench until i seen it with the BK14!!

They really are that small. I found them at a local farm store. I've actually bought 3 of them. Gave one to my brother, and one to tradewater. Have to find my other. Haven't seen it for awhile now. Probably in my backpack.

Looks like some handy tools!!

Giving the show falling skies a 2nd try and its starting to get pretty good! The first episode was slow though.

I tried watching on TNT.cOm when it started but fell behind andthey don't keep episodes up long, where ya watching em?

Man, I need to start catching up with Sparticus, my guess is somebody humped somebody though, so I cant be too far behind.

Im watching them by the "prime" method. Over by the "big river"

And lmao yea somebody is always humping somebody on that lol. I liked the very first season, with the first actor way better. Sad he got sick and passed away.

Chatroom is open for business, or "bidness" depending on how you get down.

I always carried my Wave, but got tired of it hitting everything all the time.

I carry a Skeletool every day - nice and thin with a pocket clip. Goes inside my little utility pocket...everything I need and nothing I don't. Love to get the CX version; don't really need to spend the extra $, tho, and the plain one works fine anyway. Used to carry the Wave, once I got the Skeletool that was it for me.

Thanks guys. It turned out really nice. I even aimed one of my motion sensor flood lights from my garage at the target so I can shoot at night.

The carpet was a real pain to cut and that alone took almost a whole day. The whole time I was thinking, what if this doesn't work! lol
Never shot a carpet target before but I must say that it works perfect.

Best thing was that the entire project cost me $0. Everything was either free or was stuff that I had lying around that was not being used.

Congrats on the 22 pounds Guyon!! I have been saying that I will get in shape for a while now. But haven't really done more than that. haha

And man those Doves look good.

Jonny, I've dyed a few sets black with leather dye and had really good results. If you want to send me a set of micarta, I'll dye them for ya and send them back. I've got tons of dye so its no big deal.

+1

I've carried a Leatherman CX Skeletool every day for the last five years (even on a couple occasions where I shouldn't have *cough*courthouse/capitolbuiding*cough*) and it is the only piece of hardware that I will not leave the house without. Get the CX if you can, the price has come down to around $50 if you look in the right places as it has the better blade steel, and it will do everything you need, and nothing you don't.
