Damn, Dubz. I am sorry to hear that. Though I am happy you had it checked out.

Why is it the bitterest and most ginormous of suck pills, that you have to take, you also have to pay for - and pay dearly? I would argue here that people's personal health and well-being maybe shouldn't present so many opportunities for others to profit from....but where the Rules of Acquisition apply, the money always wins.

Thanks gsom, it does suck big time.

Supposed to have blizzard like conditions Thursday into Friday. 3 to 5 " of snow not too bad, but the winds are supposed to be upward of 55mph. The temp Thursday night is -7°, with wind chills dipping to -35°.

Damn Dubz…
Get better! Soon!
We need a healthy Dubz around here!
Physically, I'm feeling better. Still coughing a lot. Mentally, I'm broken down. Worried about my health, of course, but worried about my financial situation too. I have no clue when I'll be able to return to work.

Our fight or flight reflex creates some serious dysphoria in the modern world - the impulse comes installed, but the reaction isn't socially acceptable. Alvin Toffler wrote a NYT bestseller about it in the late 60's called "Future Shock" - and then John Brunner turned that (non-fiction) book into a Sci-Fi book called "The Shockwave Rider" in '75...about the future, which is now, 50 years later. The basic premise of the book is an extrapolation, trying to figure out what it would look like if all kinds of information were available to everyone - but no one knows what the truth is. Totally worth checking out of your local library if you're inclined to read. It's a pretty good story, to boot. Aight. Damn, I waste so much of my own time...

My Dudes, I am so sorry for you recent medical miseries! Big hugs from L'il Rhody.
I know how brutal those burdens can be, and the sudden turn of fortunes.
Wish I had some useful advice. Regardless, we are very happy to still have you here.

Stay safe out there this week, Dubz. We're getting antsy even over here on the edge in the rain zone.

Possible good news. My wife called the company that makes the thinners I need, and it looks like we may qualify to get it for free, directly from them. Fingers crossed...

Also, I applied for the affordable care act.

Good luck, hope it works out.

Things have a way of working out for folks who remain diligent and keep at it.

Never give up, never surrender!

not with a gold membership - but you can also link to FB or instagram photos as a media type.

Hey, Psy!

So tired of not feeling good. Tired of being cooped up too. Want to go for a ride, but it's -1°, with a wind chill of -21°. Coldest it was last night, that I know of, was -9°, with a wind chill of -35°. Too damn cold for this old boy. Our house is old and drafty. We had the furnace set on 70°, and it ran non stop, and only made it to 60° in the living room. I woke up cold, as I've been sleeping in my recliner. Set up a space heater to warm it up some, but it dries me out, despite running a humidifier. On another note, it's supposed to be 57° next Thursday.

So, let's do a recap here. A few weeks ago, I got Influenza A. Got rid of it, felt like I couldn't breathe. Went to ER, double pneumonia. Had pains in my right lung, back to ER. A blood clot. Got a fever again tonight, with my heart racing. Yep, back to ER. I have freakin' COVID again. Don't know how much more my body can take.
