THE NO BOUNDRIES PORCH GAW WINNER ANNOUNCED POST 109

I'm in.
Thanks for the very generous and maximally individualized GAW.
What I like about the porch is the shared interests, the new-to-me slants, and the ancient lore.
Good luck, all.

I will have to find out how to add media, I was using photobucket previously for pics.

I'm in.

I like it here for the info available from others, the stories, the photos from shows and events, opportunities to see knives I may never see in person, and finding out about some of the SFO knives before they sell out and I can occasionally score one.

Wow, I can't pass this one up, Randy. Thank you!

What I like best about The Porch is the way that the members treat each other with respect. The Golden Rule is a common practice in this sub forum. Newcomers almost always feel welcome here and bullying and disrespect are virtually non existent.

I'm at work and this is the only knife picture I have on my employer's hard drive. Thanks again, Randy!

Not an entry, Randy, I just wanted to say thank you for being so kind and generous.

What the Porch means to me/ what I like best? I always thought I was a generous person, but I didn't realize that I had a lot of room to grow, until I met the fine people here. I used to hoard my knives like they were gold, but from the folks here, I learned that knives are just things. That the simple act of sending someone a knife, coin, or whatever, can have a profound effect. The friendships made are the true treasure, I have always thought. The knives are just a bit of glue that hold them together until they can "set".

I've come to realize that with every knife I give away, I get so much more in return.

IMG_1783.JPG First, I want to say thank you to Randy for his generosity and for just being an all-around great person. I would like to be in on this although my contributions here so far have been limited. I look forward to coming to the porch every day and learning from everyone and sharing in the overall camaraderie that is displayed amongst the members here. I don't think a day passes that a smile doesn't come up on my face from a visit here. I hope everyone has a great day!!!

Thanks for your generosity, if I'm not too much of a troublemaker ... I'm in. ;)

One of the great things about the porch is the behind the scenes generosity. Could be grail fulfillment or someone having a hard time with life and in need of a little kindness, not all GAWs are public.

Randy, you're a great guy, who is always behind some act of generosity here :) Not an entry please my friend, but just wanted to say thanks to you for all you do here, and to wish everyone good luck :)

Lambsfoot and chips! :D

In please. Very generous & Porchful :) of you.
Porchful may not be a word, but to me it brings up images of years ago when at the end of a long work day, and or a weekend a bunch of your close friends & neighbors got to together.
You would discuss your common interests & passions with genuine respect with each other. If anyone was needing help; there would be no hesitation to offer such unconditionally. A feeling of being at a place where you felt at home.

Very cool GAW idea Randy, I appreciate all the generosity you have shown and continue to show me and members of the porch. I too, will pass so that others may have a chance to experience your generosity.

Wow! What a generous GAW.
I'm in.

I've never owned a GEC and this is more likely how it'll happen as my knife budget is mostly not there. :p

Here's a knife I inherited from my Wife's Grandmothers' estate. I love a peanut with a bail.

I really enjoy the camaraderie, generosity, knowledge and just the overall "feel" of this little corner of the site. I've given, gotten, passed around and traded and had a blast with all of it, meeting some really great people along the way.

Thank you for offering and I'm sure whoever wins is going to get a beautiful hunk of American made steel to cherish for years to come.

Thanks for the giveaway. These ones are much fun, because we would all choose a different prize if we won a gift card. (Too bad we can't go back in time and grab one of the offerings we should have jumped on and did not like a Whaler! Or a 98 camp knife!!!)

There are many things to enjoy about the porch. It seems to be more relaxed, and less contentious than many other Hangouts on here. People are willing to help. And are very generous.

The best about the porch is basic fellowship. Even introverts like me need some fellowship.

Very cool knife leghog.
