THE NO BOUNDRIES PORCH GAW WINNER ANNOUNCED POST 109

Not an entry, as I have everything I want/need, but here's a knife that I love:

What I like best about this is folks seem to have each others' backs, and the spirit of abundance is alive and well.

Jake(Supratentorial)-I thought that lobster was magnificent, then I scrolled down and saw that Craftsman Stockman-immaculate! Incredible shape for a knife that is how old? And the scales? My word, they rarely come better.
Lostball-I may hate you a little now, after seeing your STREK. A style I've just come to conclude I'll have to have made. So beautiful, I can't imagine the Utility. The white(Nifebrite?) covers simply make it a piece of eye candy. Smiley face.
Everyone else-just fantastic knives and photos. They put me to shame, but all I have is my iPhone to photograph with.
Thanks, Neal

I'm in although have not been at the porch regularly recently due to personal matters.
Such a generous GAW which is the hallmark of the porch.
love of all types pocketknives is typified by the porch regulars. Have been primarily into scout knives this year but the porch has a way to draw you in to other types of traditional knives, be it GEC or vintage or even modern. Love it!

What a fanatastic GAW! I'm in. Thank you very much.
The "porch" is a comprehensive source of information about knives with a very friendly personal touch. I read all the posts, and feel that I have easy access to a great group of knife enthusiasts.
My favorite EDC:

Randy, very generous of you, thanks. The best thing about the porch is the people, have been lucky enough to spend time with several members and everyone of them is a great person I would consider a friend.

This is pretty much my favorite knife, a vintage Challenge Cutlery carpenters jack.

I'm in. Very generous giveaway. Thank you. This thread is a perfect example of why the porch is such a wonderful place. I've found many kindred spirits here, and appreciate it more than I can express. Here is my most treasured knife, given to me by my grandfather.

Love generational knives.

Not an entry here, but I just wanted to say that I'm proud to call you friend Randy. You are the embodiment of what the spirit of the porch is all about.
Best of luck to all the entries.

Hope everything's alright, Steve.

(This knife doesn't get as much pocket carry as it used to, but I need to find an excuse to carry it more. Ugly but works like a DREAM.)

The Porch is great - to see and learn so much about a topic I otherwise would have never managed to sort out on my own. It's helped me come up to speed on a great deal of history, and at the same time help me hone in on what modern elements really speak to me. The world needs more places to pull up a chair, set a spell, and learn a thing or two.

I'm in.

I took that photo just a moment ago, it's of some favorites in my collection. This hobby is still relatively new to me, as you can probably tell by the amount of 2016 and 2017 produced knives. The Porch is hands down the best place to learn about this stuff, because the community is so welcoming and eager to answer questions. I'm gonna keep coming back. Thanks for the giveaway entry.

I'm in. I don't generally enter GAW's, but as Randy is such a great member of our porch I feel compelled to in this instance. What do I like most about the porch? The community itself and the sense of fellowship it fosters. The wealth of knowledge that is offered freely to anyone who asks (politely :) ). The idea that I have come to know people I'll likely never meet. The people I actually have met locally who contribute to our online community. The lively debate we have that is entered into respectfully, without hurling insults first. And the stunning picture which are taken with such care. Thanks for hanging out with us Randy.

Two knives that, if cared for, would likely last the rest of my life.

Good on you Randy
nice idea
Not in for this one but good luck to all

That's very generous of you Randy. I'm in.

I like the Porch because of the knives.

This is the only place where I can share my interest, without someone rolling their eyes at me or questioning my sanity.

Beautiful Knife. What does Winchester call this pattern? Looks a lot like the Grinling.

Im in, what a generous giveaway!

This picture is from my first whittling project that I found here on the porch. When I first joined BF I was mostly intersted in modern folders, then I found the tradional subforum and it took me back to my childhood working with my dad who always had an old timer with him. I can remember we was in a building supply store where they had an old timer display, I was probably 6 or 7, and he told me to pick one out. I picked out a single blade old timer, man I wish I knew where that was now.

Back to the picture I posted. After I completed the owl carving I gave it to my son who is 2 and that was the first time he said owl. Now the owl rides shotgun in his tonka trucks with a lego man he calls papa.

I find the porch a very intersting place where one new meets old. I dont post very much other than pictures and the occasional question but I do enjoy reading the threads and learning about the history or pocket knives. Also the members here seem to be a great bunch of people.

Thanks for the chance to participate in this very generous giveaway!

Josh
