Ok another epiphany. Would u guys rather mod the 7 or a camillus 10? Up to you since your going to be doing it
 
Hmm, I'm up for either. I've never had a 7, so there's the draw to that. On the other hand I have 3 10's and haven't really modded any of them.
 
I'm actually confused as to what we're doing now. I'm still down for it, just confused. "Restoring it to it's glory" means basically adding a bunch of factory grind marks and then covering them with black paint :D

Are you thinking that, rather than *any possible mod*, such as the etch of Flexxx's backside I had been thinking about (and thinking, and thinking, and thinking....) we'll only stick to something that pretties it up?

Also, I'd love to do the 7 as I've never had one in hand before. I already own a 10.
 
Sorry for any confusion. The "any mod" was assuming that they would better the knife. You can do what you want, just make it better since you could possibly win it. Also since there are only 6 guys signed up, if you wanna do an extra mod to the sheath, feel free. But one only to the knife.
 
Cool. Are we going to decide on the mod when we get it, or sign up for a mod.

I was thinking about doing the esse serrated swedge(DerekH's idea), or a bottle opener like on the hest fixed.

But, I'm not picky. I'll do whatever mod is requested
 
No since we don't have a big list of guys, no sign ups needed. Unless one of the guys only feel comfortable doing one things, then it would only be right to reserve it. So if so someone speak up, otherwise when you get it, do it up with whatever
 
I might have to do that. There's not much in the way of mods that I'm actually any good at, heh.
 
If you feel more comfortable knowing that you will be able to do a mod you know your good at just let us know and we will save it for you
 
What do you guys think about a dyed hemp and leather wrapped handle for this? I could do that. Other than that I'm kind of at a loss for ideas, heh.
 
if thats what you wanna do then thats fine, ill put you last on the list that way thos that wanna do mods that require taking the handles off will be able to do so
 
I am interested, but might not be ready to mod until I have the thing in hand to see what it "needs".
My etching skills are limited, but I've got horrible ideas in that arena too.
("c'mere, kitty kitty kitty, sit on this little puddle of resist....")

Oh, and I vote for sticking with the 7 or 9 or whatever. Let's not destroy something irreplaceable, hm?

I'd like to get in on it Clich, I've just got a full plate for a month or two. I think it would be fun and look forward to seeing the results. :thumbup:

I think We are now at capacity for this knife guys, if you still want in, post it up, ill just either A get another blade and we will do a team thing, or B you will have to do a sheath mod or something.
 
If you run out of room for mods, put me last and I'll make a leather sheath for it after BRL does the new handle.
 
Ok guys the patient is in. First off shes seen better days but the edge is still good. the spine is messed up, maybe some file work or etching to hide that, or grind it down altogether, i dunno thats up to you guys. Anyway, since BRL is doing a handle wrap, i am keeping the desert grivory. I always wanted a pair and since she will be stripped before she leaves, you wont know the difference. Ill put on some standard grivory when she goes out. i think ill finish the list this weekend, then send her out on monday. Itll give me a chance to fondle it a bit since i was considering getting a 7, and i can do a head to head with her against a OKC 6 and a fox parang. anyways guys here she is
