The Official FrankenBecker Mod-Off (here we go)

she looks perfect to me.... kind of a shame to make any changes :)

Those desert scales are amazing! whats the story with them?

The scales are purdy, and theyre mine ALL MINE!!!! haha they came with the desert models. Ive been wanting a desert model for the scales alone. Since im stripping the blade of the desert finish anyway and itll look like a regular bk7, the scales wont be missed :D plus BRL your gonna do a sick cordwrap anyhow

Should Mr. Handle and Mr. Sheath go last so as to accommodate any mods that happen in between? I'd hate to mess up a handle wrap job I couldn't re-do, or undermine sheath retention with a blade mod. I don't mind re-shaping handles, but prefer to work on a knife without the scales/wrap on it.

Yup BRL is last on the list, if we get more guys before monday, then vik will make a sheath, in which case he will go at the end too, but if not only BRL will be last up

ok slap, knife will be on its way tomorrow

Cool, I'll do the ESEE serrations on the swedge unless someone else wants to do this mod.

Hey, by the way, everyone feel free to speak up if you hate the idea of a wrapped handle. Won't hurt my butt. I don't want to do something someone might hate.

BRL, I don't mind a handle wrap but I'm thinking about modifying the handle area of the tang.... might cause you some frustration if I do that.

dont let that stop you. IF you can, send me a sketch of what you're thinking and it will give me a head start in planning out the wrap and spacer patterns.

Hey guys, had to edit the list since for some reason I keep losing slaps addy. I sent it out but to murph first, then slap is second and slap pm your addy again. Im sorry guys

I already sent the word to Clich, but just to let the rest of y'all know, I got the 7 in the mail today. I will be stripping it tonight and getting it worked out in my head what kinda mod I wanna attempt. Hopefully I'll have it completed this weekend and ready to ship out Mon. I took some pics of how it was when it arrived, I'll post them when I get them uploaded.

Now updated with pre mod pix!

Just showing how rough the spine is, like somebody tried forge jimping with an anvil.

I would love to do a spine rounding mod. It is the favorite thing I did to mine.

Good stuff murph. Was the coating tough to get off? My superstrip didn't do a thing to it. That spine is pretty beat up. Im thinking one of the guys is gonna need to do some creative file work to hide it

It was a little tough, I used the klean-strip. I think I let it sit for 20 min the first time, then hit it again for about a 10 min soak to get the rest off inside the handle cut outs. Sounds like we have a taker for the spine, I'll probably work the blade reshaping.
