Sorry about that guys, I didn't wanna step on any toes. After I got the knife and read what the mod requests were I thought it best to do mine toward the end. Slap, I threw some sharpening stones into the sheath pocket for ya.

Well, that answers that question. Was really curious how that would look, and now I know. Wonder if it is useful there or not. Whoever wins this thing better put it through it's paces.

I'd be interested to know if they are useful also. The geometry of the swege looks like the tip of an axe, so I doubt they will excel in the finer work.

I've been out for awhile and returned to find a message from slapper, I should receive it before the weekend!
 
Frankenbecker was received in fine fashion last night. I have to say pictures do not do Slappers mod justice - Great Work Slapper! I am feeling like an amateur and have to rethink my mods as not to blemish this BKT beaut.
 
Dude I'm so stoked to be in on this project. I got a whole new plan for the handle wrap. I'm going to start prototyping this weekend so that hopefully I'll have a handle (har) on the technique by the time FB gets to me. If I can pull it off I think it will be a very unique, cool, and comfy mod.
 
No rush iahunter just wondering where we are at. If you need more time by all means take it. Just checking in.
 
Just got done taking pictures! Need the address of the next lucky recipient.

I Really had a hard time deciding what to do, so I removed the top of the ramp, cleaned up the remaining jimping, rounded the tops a bit, rolled the edges a bit, but made sure there was still good edge for a firesteel. Hand sanded everything to 1500.. This is how Franky looks now
