The Official FrankenBecker Mod-Off (here we go)

That finish was the perfect choice Murph. I think is shows off the other mods much better than a high polish.

Pretty stoked about this as I remembered today that I've never actually seen a BK-7 before. I suspect I'll own one soon after checking the FrankenBecker out.

I like the satin finish as well, Good work Murph! Can't wait to see the handle and sheath mods!

The eagle has landed! The fox is in the henhouse! The hotdog is through the donut! The whatever whatever whatever!

Got the FreakenFrankenBecker today and daaaaaaaaaamn. Everything about it is cool, multiplied by a thousand because I'd never seen a BK7 before.

Thanks to Murph for the great extra toys (big stone, little stones, and some waxed jute twine). Man did I ever need this sharpening stuff... AWESOME.

With the holidays and work going to hell in a handbasket, plus the newness of what I'm going to try to do, it'll be a little while for my piece gang but I'll get to it as I find little chunks of free time.

Pics!

Very cool. This thread makes me want to send my BK7 off for some frankenness!

Great job guys

Like I warned, Real Life is kicking me in the nuts. I did buy some materials yesterday and I'll get a little time in today, but it'll probably still be a while.... week or so, hopefully no longer.

:D

Does it still work? I was afraid Murph might have used it up.

Looks great! Coming along very nicely, here's an idea. Instead of grinding the spine to get rid of those dings, maybe just square them off for a firesteel notch?
Think I'm gonna do that to mine.

Sorry everyone, I'm behind in getting this done. Hopefully done and out the door this weekend.

Been fun watching this thread, for a while... Now waiting to see what happens next. How many more mods are scheduled? Might even take a file to my new BK9 after seeing what you guys have done to this one.
Keep up the good work, and Merry Christmas.
