The Official Lanyard Thread

It seems pretty well built. I had to file the inside a bit though, it was rough to get both cords through. got it at JigProShop.com.

Playing with string. Saw this online and tried it out. What do you think?

Lol let’s leave Mr Graley be if we can:)
As I’m not any expert on this, and never laid claim to be, just an enthusiast at heart and my ideas are just that, my ideas. Glad to share

First off Gary, you can't be a lanyard/sharpening/photographer/leathersmith icon here on BF and not expect to see your name thrown around from time to time. Good to see you on here old friend. Hope you didn't mind me bustin' your chops a little whilst paying my respects to your talents. ;)

Thanks sir, appreciate that and on lanyards I'm pretty much a one pony show, I like the way I do them and they work well for me but not everyone may agree and of course that's fine :)

One or two things I've changed over the years, I use to make the lanyard longer on my folders but now I make what I nick named a BobTail fob, shorter seems to work better and less dangly for me.

What kind of lanyards are you guys running on your Para 3s? I tried one on mine and I think it looks like dogshit. Maybe it needs thinner cord? Different knot style? Or maybe the Para 3's just not a lanyard knife? Maybe I'll try one going around the tube rather than through it.

Different Knot perhaps?

I find the more expensive cord ties and looks better. I tried some cheap Walmart cord and can't get it to look good with any type of knot I try. Check around on youtube and you will find a knot you like and a combination that looks good. I'm constantly changing mine. Thru in a random pic just because:

Any suggestions for a 550 Grip? May have to purchase....

I currently only have a couple, both made from leather boot lace. Nothing special but I'm happy with them.

The one on my CRK was my first attempt and ended up developing a twist in it. I was going to cut it off and try again but I've just left it for now, as honestly it doesn't bother me. Then I have one on my Bugout, with a fancy brass bead purchased from the plumbing aisle of ACE Hardware ;). Also put one on my Vic Rambler, though with that one I didn't tie a not, just slit the leather and passed it through.
