, that hand grenade style bead in your first pic looks big enough to actually contain explosive material. Even disarmed it's substantial enough to qualify as a weapon making your knife a double-ended self-defense threat.
For my part, I finally found a bead I liked for my Cheburkov Voron and tied up a fresh lanyard yesterday. I'd had a very plain black thermoplastic bead as a placeholder as I didn't want something that would bang up the unadorned gray-bronze anodized lock side. I was surprised how difficult it was to find something in red with a bit of character to complement the CTek showside, but got this one off the artsy-craftsy site last week. I decided on plain black 550 cord but gutted out 3 inner strands to get a tighter wrap around the back post as the blade is right there. I tied one snake knot tight to the butt to keep it in place.

's whipping knot would be a good if not better choice there, but I've not yet tried one despite having bought two spools of waxed cord some time back. Next time, GG, ok?
Anyway, I tied extended crown and diamond's each side of the bead. I like these knots a lot, but they're a PIA to cinch up right, especially on the back one hard up against the bead. Getting all the lobes balanced and tight enough though not too tight was made harder with the gutted cord's tendency to get squeezed too flat. I used the narrow end of an unattached fid to help work them even and I can keep tweaking over time to get them more balanced.
