The Official Lanyard Thread

Using the same type of knots, I did it a little differently for my PM2. Two knots, a space, two more, and a little tail. I like this a lot

That looks great! A bead would look good in the space also. If you recut the end of the strings and pull the inner strings out of the end a little and cut them off then let them recede back into the outer shell they will disappear.

Added more bling to the cane.
Very Patriotic right there :)

I just got this folder in as a thank you from Weasipoint Weasipoint and it is pretty nice Kizer folder called Vigor, very thin edged. So I tied a diamond knot and ended with three snake knots, I melted down the ends to prevent it from unraveling and it seems to work out pretty good so far, likin' it :) Thanks again Weasipoint !

New knot day. The grey/black head is a double cord fray knot. Also two Chinese button knots on the bottom. The other one I just like the color combo.

Mr.sig239 Mr.sig239 is right in that would look good with a bead in that space, Billy, but I have several beadless tails tied similarly to yours and like them quite a b it too. The empty space lets the fobs lie really slackly and with no bead the lanyard won't clank on your clip walking around. It also gives you another place to grab onto to pull the knife from pocket.

For my part, I bought a second Spartan Harsey Folder in plain stonewash on the Exchange to employ as a work user as my other SHF is really just too pretty to bang up on a job site, around the yard, or in our woods and fields up North. As it's a substantial piece, I figured it might make a good home for the giant TiCreatures bead I took off my Rainmaker. I went with two Wide Diamonds on 550 Licorice and left a long tail, though I'm thinking I might go all G2-style and bob it off.

I know @Kmikaz3 thinks this bead looks right on the Rainmaker and I agree except for its size, so I'm looking at the maker's other offerings for a smaller version with the same texture and color, though I kinda like what's presently on the Olamic (Post 742) too. First World problems, eh?

You have beautiful equipment!! Awesome fobs too!!

Glad to help out and that is one heck of a knife by the way ! here's a couple images I took after making the bobtail fob, I tied the whipping knot close to the first diamond knot so it allowed for some more freedom of the fob but still keeping it under control.
