Hey, thank you! I learned something! That looks great! A bead would look good in the space also. If you recut the end of the strings and pull the inner strings out of the end a little and cut them off then let them recede back into the outer shell they will disappear.
Mr.sig239 is right in that would look good with a bead in that space, Billy, but I have several beadless tails tied similarly to yours and like them quite a b it too. The empty space lets the fobs lie really slackly and with no bead the lanyard won't clank on your clip walking around. It also gives you another place to grab onto to pull the knife from pocket.
For my part, I bought a second Spartan Harsey Folder in plain stonewash on the Exchange to employ as a work user as my other SHF is really just too pretty to bang up on a job site, around the yard, or in our woods and fields up North. As it's a substantial piece, I figured it might make a good home for the giant TiCreatures bead I took off my Rainmaker. I went with two Wide Diamonds on 550 Licorice and left a long tail, though I thinking I might go all G2-style and bob it off.
I know @Kmikaz3 thinks this bead looks right on the Rainmaker and I agree except for its size, so I'm looking at the maker's other offerings for a smaller version with the same texture and color, though I kinda like what's presently on the Olamic (Post 742) too. First World problems, eh?
