I was knocking back a brew at a buddy's house and was thinking how cool it would be if the Hornet had a bottle opener on it.

This has been discussed. We drew one out on a blank, but it never made it past that. Maybe we'll revisit it.

All things considered it's a wonder you guys aren't making custom bottle openers that also happen to have knife edges.

So I got to hang out with the guys this last Wednesday and Sunday. I am having trouble getting the few pics I took, off my phone.
I will say
1: Todds kids are cute as all get out..lol
2: Todd and Gina are a great hosts
3: Murph will try and get you drunk, even when he shouldnt...lol
4: The shop is a trip.

I got to watch some knives turn from raw material, into almost ready to ship out.
It was pretty impressive. Especially considering it is not a fancy shop. They have what they need to get it done for sure, but the size of the place and the tools, make what they are doing over there, even more amazing.
I wish I lived closer so we could hang out more often, cause they are good guys to knock a brew back with and shoot the breeze.

Thanks for having me and mine Todd, It was a real Pleasure.

It sounds like fun times at the shop, alright. :thumbup: Sorry I missed you. It's a shame I couldn't escape to come down and hang out for a bit.
 
Just want to say thanks to Murph and Todd for the invite to the shop while I was traveling cross country. I was not able to make it due to time constraints, but I hope one day I will be able to stop by.

Oh, by the way....I did receive the T-shirt from Guyon's contest win. It's in Oregon and my wife lay claim to it right out of the package.

October fest is back at Sun King and I know Java Mac is right around the corner. I'll be hitting them up sometime today or tomorrow to fill a growler or two of October fest. I'm really hoping I'll be able to score a few of Java Mac later this month. That one is my absolute favorite one they've done. It's coffee infused Wee Mac.
 
Couple of Blades I have Todd looking at making for me. I sketched them out after Todd got me geeking on designing some blades.


This big one the Thickness is in the air atm but either 1/4 or 3/16th depending on Todds feel.


This one was my idea for the Sister knife to the big chopper. Thinking 5/32nds on this one ?

Lol, I really want to make the top blade. My interpretation of it anyway. I think I could make something that Thorny likes better than his pic. I really like the bottom one to and think its a good design as long as its intended purpose is what its designed for (does that make sense) anyway. Lets tackle one at a time buddy, let me know when you want to pull the trigger and I will order material.
