Yea..... Tough choice. I feel I'm kinda' in the same boat.

I like the blade from the CF, but prefer the G10 scales over the CF's weave look.

Maybe I'll have to buy both knives as well, swap the scales, then sell or gift away the ELMAX/CF-scaled knife.
 
I find it very interesting that one time Knifecenter actually gets in enough knives to fulfill their pre-orders and start selling knives (for the first time in who knows how long considering their long standing habit of overselling pre-orders) everyone is so quick to turn on BladeHQ.

I think the only reason KC was able to process their pre-order list was because it was comparatively tiny in comparison because so many people stopped pre-ordering there.
 
Just ordered a regular 0562 from HOB. Can't wait, will be my first ZT and Hinderer design. When I ordered mine they still had some of each in stock.
 
How's the tactile grip on the CF for those that have them? I was disappointed that ZT didn't put any texture at all on the Ti handle side, if I remember right from the SHOT the CF slab was pretty slick as well. While not as aesthetically pleasing it's too bad more companies are not doing peel ply CF like Spyderco does. While not as pretty it sure is a lot more functional.

The carbon fiber is slick, just like the show pieces.

I'm still waiting on KC to fulfill my pre-order, so I do not believe that is the case...

Well that's interesting. I have been on KC preorder for quite some time and have not heard a peep. I even called them last Friday and they said they would not be getting them until October of November. Doesn't really matter though I can wait. No rush. The one I'm really looking forward to is the 0620cf.

Oh. Well. If that's the case then I'm gonna cancel my preorder at KC and just wait for the price to drop like the more enlightened folks around here. If I'm gonna wait, I'm gonna WAIT. So allow me to bump you up a spot, Dan! Besides, I still have one other preorder to keep my anxiety up, and that one is much more urgent.

Well here's the thing - I think the 0562 is going to sell in massive enough numbers that it will be WELL supported by aftermarket scale makers. I wouldn't let the scale on either version sway me too much one way or the other. To me, it comes down to how hard you're going to use the knife, and if you're OK with scuffs and marks on the finish of the blade on the CF model.
 
I think this is the first relatively low production number ZT I've ever had - one of the first 100 apparently.

 
KC says they got five in this week. I canceled my pre-order.

I got KC confirmation just now. Wow, they only got 5 this week? My assumption that I was one of the first to preorder was correct then...
