I canceled my pre-order with KC after realizing that I wouldn't be seeing it from them anytime soon. I'll just have to wait and see if I can catch great deal on Black Friday or around X-mas. I will be buying a CF version for sure.

Nice video/write up...I was all but set on getting the g10 version, now I am undecided once again...I guess I could always get both and then sell the one I don't need, but that always ends up where I keep them both!!! Man I got problems

That's good to know. It's not that I plan to carry the 0562CF unclipped. At 5.5 ounces, I don't plan to carry the 0562CF at all. But I'm hopeful that if ZT decides to make a lightweight 3.0" version of it and they use the same clip arrangement, I'll be able to remove it from that model and carry it deep in my pocket as I do all my EDCs.

Can anyone with a 0562 and a 0550 compare the size of the standoffs? I'm trying to figure out if some aftermarket titanium ones will fit. The standoffs on the 801 are approximately the same height but the screws have a much greater circumference on the 0562.

I'm with you on this. I'm hoping to have time this weekend to break out me 0550 and see if the aftermarket stand offs and LBS I have on the knife fit my 0562CF.

The LBS should, as they are all pretty much a standard size. I'm of the suspicion that the 0550 standoffs will fit, they appear to be very similarly sized.

Assuming you're correct (and I've had the same suspicions) the only other question for me will be how to get the black off those screws. Any ideas here beyond sanding? Any sort of a chemical dip that would work?

Sanding sucks. I did it with one of my 550's. I would have them bead blasted if you could and then polish them up with some flitz.

I agree. His reviews are always a fun read, and full of great info.
His video was also pretty good, and is making today really difficult... My CF is out for delivery, and will be waiting for me when I get home. I find that amusing, as the G10 version I purchased a week before to play with before the CF came out is still sitting in customs, and won't arrive until next week now
