Ok thats it! I'm gonna grab a beer and hopefully my patience will come back. After 4 moths it is almost unbearable to wait until this knife will drop in the mailbox. These pictures don't help....

Ow and my name is Ruud, I'm an addict too...

I feel your pain bud. I had one on preorder for a long time, then I figured that I would go through a smaller online dealer and pay in full so I could just get it over with and forget about it, and then one day the knife would surprise me in the mail... Yeah that backfired on me... The dealer was supposed to get their shipment last week, but there must have been some kind of delay. I do NOT have the patience for this, I'm constantly refreshing my email, checking the dealer website to see if my 'status' has changed from processing to shipped, and checking the dealers facebook page for updates. Today the dealers fb page did finally mention that they were expecting a delivery today, so hopefully I'll get some info pretty soon.

I do have to admit though, this will be the last time I preorder a regular production knife. If my money wasn't tied up in this preorder I would have been able to buy this knife and received it over a week ago. Oh well, I guess thats why I had been trying to help other people find this knife so they could order and enjoy it, because I know how much I want this knife in my hands.

Question: What do you guys think of the grip so far? Does the CF scale make it too slippery, or do you trust that you have a positive enough grip that you wouldn't have to worry about the knife slipping?

The CF scale feels semi-slick to me. I would rate it at slightly less grippy than the Ti lock side. All in all I'm confident in the positive grip that it gives. That being said, I'm going to get some G10 scales or some CF Micarta from Cuscadi.

I don't think it's too slippery. If you are going to hold it with one finger than yeah, it might be slippery. Full grip is fine. I will warn you that the blade closes like a guillotine and I already cut my thumb releasing the lockbar and not getting out the way fast enough. It fires so fast and effortlessly so the risk is worth it.

Thanks guys. It sounds perfect for my uses. It will be my cut everything EDC while my CQC 13 is strictly for emergencies. Thanks for warning me about how it closes. I really don't need anymore scars. LOL.

Decision made - CF version it is. Now the wait to find one in stock, or someone selling theirs in the exchange. :/

I too was waiting for my pre order of the 562cf and couldnt take it anymore so i paid full price at a small retailer and recieved it today and i cant even describe how much of an outstanding knife it is. Although the carbon fiber is not the grippiest, the flipper/choil makes it impossible to slide up onto the blade so that is perfect. This knife blows me away and i struggle to put it down. Zt is totally killing it with designs like this. Bravo, just bravo.

I had the same experience, sadly it was after I had reprofiled it on my Wicked Edge. Four stitches later it was fine :(

I feel ya. Pre order for the last time on a production knife. Did I mention I pre-ordered in January, yet all these posts with people just finding them at dealers. Makes me sick. Oh well at least I have the 562 to hold me over

You can see me nearly cut my thumb off in my video review....

Perhaps I'm being a tad dramatic...but there was blood....

I'm with you on the custom scales. The CF scale is pretty slick, but the ergos of the knife make it secure nonetheless. I still think I want some custom micarta for this one. Can't wait until we begin to see some custom scales out there.

Thanks guys. I really thought I was being a total tool for cutting myself. The only 2 knives that close that effortlessly are my shirogorov on srbs and my Thorburn l51. Again, I'm blown away by the quality of the 0562cf, it easily rivals some $1000+ knives.

Do you guys know any pimpers taking 0562 work orders? I want to have a thunderstorm Kevlar scale made and anodized burnt bronze the 0562 elmax I just ordered.

Ok. 2 people were supposed to email me where they found the 0562CF for 170 something but didn't.

If anyone else knows can you message me or email me at mashguy4077@yahoo.com

Thanks.

Looking forward to picking one up :)
