Great Pics Hunterjohn, I got get up there and due some fishing. What a beautiful lake.
Those deer remind me of PA deer, they are the only ones stupid enough to walk right up to people.

Some random pics from a local spot I like, and from my gear:

Take a plane, cheap fares most of the time (if you coming from Melb or Syd)!

Is a beautiful place - our farm is in the region in the photograph (NE Tas).

This is a few pics. of Toroko Gorge, East Taiwan.

This place is supposed to be one of the 7 natural wonders of the world. Having been there and seen it, i have to agree, it is a special place.
Clearly my photoes do it no justice and give you no real idea at all of the scale but i hope they give you some idea of what its like :)
There is so many trails, streems and rivers to walk you could spend a very long time exploring there.

Hi Don!

The top pic is a Cold Steel Trail Hawk that I redid a little bit. They are a fun project and they only cost about $20.

You are correct on the wood in the lower pic, it's cedar.

Yikes! What is that on your hand wound? Dirt, sand, or some sort of maggot-bearing bugs?
Ooops! Sorry, I was referring to post #115 on pg 6.
