Taken last summer at Ash Cave in Hocking Hills State Park in Southern Ohio. We camp and hike there at least once a year. This is one of the most beautiful areas in Ohio.
There are many hiking trails, waterfalls, hollows and caves in the area.

Zman - the lighting is just right in that picture of Ash Cave.

Rocketbomb - Keep those pics of the Nebraska hill country coming. It has been a number of years since I was last there, but I always liked the feel of the region. I can't quite put my finger on it, maybe it was the sense of open space, but I liked it there.

Lambertiana, your pics are awesome. I am jealous that you get to live so close to that area!

Look at every pict. Really amazing! There is a lot to enjoy and learn in this thread.

great thread!

Here is me, my wife and my boy on our first family hike. my wife is not an experienced hiker so we stuck more to a known quad trail. my boy had a blast, slept the whole time.

I'm going to try to get some more up sometime. Back home on dial-up intarweb now, so it's going to be a lot of effort to get any up. But I like showing people that Nebraska isn't all boring. In fact, it's actually a quite fantastic place.

There are amazing pics in here of some beautiful places!
Keep um coming guys.

This afternoon in the Barrington Tops

Myal - Yep, it's your turn to cool off while we heat up.

This was taken in the Redwood Mountain grove in Kings Canyon NP. It is unusual to see large sequoias standing alone without other tall trees around them.

I'll continue the one-man show. Today I've been in the mood for Tehipite Valley in Kings Canyon NP. First, the view where you drop down into the valley:

The view toward Tehipite Dome where the trail meets the river:

A better view of Tehipite Dome. For the big wall climbers, everyone thinks of Yosemite Valley. Tehipite Dome has the same vertical (3500' from the valley) and you would have it to yourself.
